I was wondering, is it possible to do the same thing with the animations (thinking about the battle animation of mage hawke ^^) ?

I tried to do this, but it didn't work. The characters in DA2 have different bones, so the animations crash. They would have to be individually redone in 3dsmax and exported, making it too onerous unless one just really wanted one or two of them. Even then, it woukd be a pain in the arse.

Any plans about... relasing? After it's finished of course.

Yay, tmp! I figured it would be you, cause you're a wizard. Any chance that it can use mguitar07's incredible trailer warden reskin (located here)?

The layout of textures isn't changed so if you put the textures of the reskin in DAO override then it should give the port identical appearance.

I would also like to know that.

Are the DA2 swords the same scale like their Origins counterpart, or do they also require some mesh editing for sucessful import?

Is there any chance to port Varric awesome face into DAO? I would love to play dwarf warden Varric, but it's impossible to make accurate face sculpt in DAO chargen for him grrr.

Judging by the comments on "Tucked Hair," TMP's working on that as well as other hairstyles. =3 I wish I had the capability and programs to port hair and other things over; unfortunately, I don't. D:

Try using the toolset to make it as close to Varric as you can. These two tutorials by a friend of mine should help, especially the intense head morph tutorial. I suggest setting the Varric head as a preset:

I might try it out if the toolset won't start on your computer or something. ^^

if you got me the 3d max files (or even better if you imorted them to may for me :D)  i would quite hapily animate them, they wouldnt be exactly like the dragon age 2 staff fighting (as i would take some liberties to try and make it better and more fluid, but i could certainly animate a staff fighting sequence in a few days

Do we have a DAII Sten as Origins Sten (or equivalent Qunari model) yet? :s

Wow! Tmp you are awesome.

So basicly it is possible to give DA:O companions DA 2 armors. That give me an idea but as I am total idiot when it comes to modding I will just throw that idea here and you guys can decide if it can be done or not. Here is some questions I have in mind:

1- Does DA 2 models (elf and qunari) have any problem with DA:O animations?
2- Does DA:O support "scale with level" system of DA 2?
3- Is it viable to mark companions according to romance or personal quest completion?
4- How hard to apply DA 2 human armors to DA:O elves? (Does a simple rescale works?)

If someone knows answers to this questions we can think about making a DA 2 unique looks for Origins companions.

1- Alistair : Warden Armor Romance/PQ: Metallic Warden Armor
2- Morrigan: Robes of Witch Romance/PQ: Merrill's romance armor (possibly re-colored to darker tones) or Starter robe for Mage Female Hawke
3- Leliana: Chantry Robes Romance/PQ: Robes of Notorious Pirate
4- Sten: Rebel Qunari (The one that warns you, without paints) PQ: Painted Default Qunari
5- Zevran: Dalish Armor Romance/Talisen: Black Champion Rogue Armor

I can't remember any heavy armored dwarf from DA 2 and any outstanding robe so Oghren and Wynne is out of this idea for now.

Here is an idea for you talented guys. Will I play DA:O after this mod? Hard chance as DA:O combat looks so clumsy and lack the aesthetics of DA 2

qunari shape is very similar between DAO and DA2 so the animations work pretty well. DA2 elf shape is... well, it's what it is, so if trasferred intact it'd have the same animation issues elves have in DA2 (waddling like the "i'm not drunk officer i swear" ducks, and whatnot)

2- Does DA:O support "scale with level" system of DA 2?

DAO has the material scaling system -- if you put an item in chest or sell it to vendor, the item's material (and consequently the base stats) are adjusted to player's level when the zone is loaded. It doesn't include scaling item bonuses.

3- Is it viable to mark companions according to romance or personal quest completion?

If you mean DAO there's flags which indicate whether companion had sex with the player and what stage of relationship they're currently at (warm, friend, maxed out)  Companion quests typically have their own flags as well although i'm not sure if these are transferred to Awakening saves and onward.

4- How hard to apply DA 2 human armors to DA:O elves? (Does a simple rescale works?)

Not a simple rescale since unlike what people tend to say the outlines of elves and humans in DAO aren't actually identical (the humans are stockier without making elves look terminally malnourished like DA2 did) but yes, it can be done as the picture shows.
