Yes, if the .mor is in the override folder then it's likely to be given higher priority. This means possibility for either some glitches when it comes to placement of the eyes, or in worse case if the .mor uses the standard face textures then it results in pretty broken appearance as these are no longer compatible with the updated qunari head model.Avalla'ch wrote...
Great! Just wondering if I have to take off custom Sten face morph from the override folder to avoid some incompatibilities?
And now.... thewardenrest of the armors! Back to work!
And lol

Neat. I'll definitely have to consider this when replaying DAO.
If only Sten could have remained untouched and have everyone else (Kadan-Fe, Marjie, Armaas) still change...

I can't wait to see the elves--or at least, the armor, since the faces wouldn't work.

Oh wow, awesome. Will this have an effect on the "hornless" Qunari in Awakening (he broke his off, if I remember right)?

I wasn't sure if that guy should actually be "hornless" because there's nothing in his dialogue that'd refer to it, and the dev explanation felt bit like just handwaving over the lack of proper model. In the end settled on giving him the same treatment the saarebas get -- apparently in the eyes of the qunari it counts as "removing" the horns, plus, this way it looks more like something he'd do at later age. Somehow doubt it'd be possible for him to remove these things as smoothly as if they never were there in the first place.Genobe wrote...

Are you making any other "DA2 to DAO" mod ? (I've seen the pics but I still want to ask ^^)

Note, Sten's hair is made specifically to match his head shape which is separate from the default, so it won't work very well when used in such manner.

If yes then I can't really imagine having the same amount of patience like you(assuming you also want to make the dwarf and female versions for them)... kudos to ya!
And a humble request: Since you are at it, maybe you could also port the Warden sword too?
It's the w_lsw_024a file if I am not mistaken.

about the qunari armour: armour of the Sten is someone else's work and Arishok's armour is well, Arishok's so that'd be a no. I think the "armour" qunari wear in DA2 is actually supposed to be just something they scrapped together after all their equipment had sunk with their ship (there was a comment by Mr.Laidlaw that suggested as much) so there'd be little sense in having other qunari run around in the same stuff. Dunno.

Edit: I went back and read about the animation problems for the Elves. I know nothing about modding, but could you switch these to Fenris and Merrill's animations (male/female respectively) since they are more fluid? (Fenris is hunched over, but it might be better than duck waddle.)

lol, no. There's couple of light armours which would fit DAO i think so going to have look at them next, but that's probably it. I can see about that Warden sword probably, too, since these aren't complicated to port.
.
Ah of course, I knew that would be probably too inhumane, hehe.
Nice to hear about the light stuff, I am keeping my fingers crossed for Athenril's armour(arm_lgte, glv_lgte and boo_lgte).

I'm afraid i'm one of these purists who prefer the DAO look of the elvesto be exact, i prefer the look they have with the proportion fix mods installed -- so they have slightly different bodies from humans instead of the game beating me over the head with the concept just in case i failed to notice. And no gigantic scary hands, hopefully.
I am intrigued. Despite crawling around the Nexus I've never come across proportion mods. Could you kindly direct me to them?

tmp's Project page
Scroll down a bit and you'll find the proportion mods for female elves, dwarves and humans.
Heck, just to be sure, download all of it, since I pretty much consider tmp's mods to be essential and not breaking the vanilla game.
