No, I mean her relationship with blood magic. "Oh, it'll never goh wrong. I know what I'm dewing." And if this was the real world Anders would have gotten a Champion gauntlet in his jaw.

Well, technically she knows what she's doing - if there's something she's absolutely determined to do, bringing two senior mages, both of which have experience with the fade, and a spirit, along to assure things go alright, sounds more reasonable then abandoning something you've dedicated most of your life to "because the chantry says so".

And again, I pretty much agree with Anders actions, and I'd have supported him if I could.

Anders could of just killed The priest lady instead of destroying the entire Chantry and killing god knows how many innocents

Even then that would not have aided his plight seeing as she was remaining neutral giving her opinion to neither side.

Which is what I was trying to do until he screwed it up. Me and Varric would have taken to the pub while the city burned for all we cared.

it would of Provoked outrage in the Templars just the same as destroying the entire chantry and everyone in it if you notice they only talk about how he blew up the Chantry and killed the Grand Cleric

To be fair my sister's head would be on Ander's pike.

....on second thought that sounded dirty.

I want a punch everyone mod not just Anders. That way if I see someone I don't like (I'm looking at you Petrice) my Hawke can convey these feeling.

That it did. Still, even if you're not a mage yourself, having a drink while Merill and your sister get butchered strikes me as somewhat wrong, given the "if this were real life" situation :o

Anders didn't care about the mages or he wouldn't have brought the wrath of the templars down on them all.  He provoked Meredith (another whack job fanatic) and Orsino (yea another paragon of sanityPosted Image) just to get them all fighting.  How (if they were dead) that was supposed to free the mages, I haven't a clue but he wasn't the brightest crayon in the box to start with.
He didn't care about Hawke or Bethany or Merrill as long as he got his war.  All he cared about was his freaking holy 'cause'.  He was a whack job fanatic as bad as Meredith or Orsino and murderknifing him was quite enough for me.  I didn't need a 'punch' mod for him.

As much as he might or might not be bonkers, what's the point in killing him, once the harm is done?

Do what you will, but I consider grabbing whatever friends and family I've left in this city, and blasting my way out a somewhat more viable option. I hear Antiva is nice this part of the year :<

Too much crap to wade through.  I'd rather just get drunk and pass out under a table then laugh and vomit all over Miss Prissypants boots when she comes to the Hanged Man.Posted Image  Gonna party like its 1999..

I don't get this Anders hate, he did something desperate and extreme to try and free the heavily oppressed mages. He did it cause he saw that there was no compromise and if he didn't the madness of Meredith would be the end for the mages in Kirkwall.

I think people mostly hate him cause he did something that was out of their control. I mean up untill that point your hawke killed up to a thousand people. But someone else does something out of your control, you hate that person. (although I do agree that he whined a little too much... He felt like the stereotypical incredibly racially sensetive foreign person used in some movies, I think he even used the phrase "It's cause I'm a mage isn't it?").

Because Ander's brought doom on them all. Meredith only called upon the right of annumlment because Ander's blew up the chantry. It was basically the straw that broke the camels back. Not to mention even if you side with the mages you still have to fight your way through abomninations and blood mages. Darwin awards all around.

"I'm here to help folks!"
"Nah, let's just kill you.

Ungrateful sods.

I'm fairly certain that's the writers, not the mages fault. I propose we blame the Orlesians.

I would like to see the final anders scene changed to something like this: when he says "there can be no peace" you get the option to agree/disagree, then when meredith/orsino leaves you tell him what you will do with him, if you decide to kill him, then justice take over anders and you have to fight him, much as any abomination (a desperate mage turning abomination) only that this is justice instead of a demon. I would prefer that over the murder knife and the passive anders that let you kill him just like that.

Before we get a "Punch Anders" mod, we'll need one of these first.

Another mod that would be awesome.

My dead dwarf warrior from DA:O crawls out of the earth, runs up to Anders, and punches him in the kidneys. Meanwhile, he high-fives Varric, slaps Isabela, and beats Fenris to death.

Maybe add in him saluting Aveline or something if I really care that much.

Makes a dramatic exit via dragon, with Alistair as the rider.

I'm serious. Each of these characters deserves what comes to them.

Ladies really got the short end of the stick with this one. They made attractive partners but one's a terrorist, one's a former slave with in need of some Zoloft, and one gave up girls before you met him.

Well, it's not like the female LIs were any better.

- Yet another of Bioware's nerd bait "cute clumsy girls", this one naive to the point of being a danger to self and others.

- Funny, yet utterly promiscuous woman of loose morals. Also with STDs. More like a drinking pal or a drunken tryst than a serious love interest.

Its too bad Aveline is immune to Hawke's clumsy advances... And that Bethany is our sister.

While I did just completely love everything about Aveline, Isabela actually turned out to have a lot more depth than I had anticipated. While she doesn't compare to my love of Leliana (God Damn you import bug, Leliana should remember who she is madly in love with!) I ended up rather liking Isabela. The moments where she comes to comfort you after your mothers death was incredibly touching, and her changes in Act 3 were really nice. While I had initially romanced her just because shes the only female human LI (Ew elves, especially neo Elves) she is a really big favorite of mine.

On the topic of torture mods, while yes I would've really loved a better speech from Hawke before she knives the murderous bastard, I really wish there was more I could've done to the twisted blood mage who kills your mother. He died far too quickly for my liking. Same with that scum Orsino.

I'd settle for a "Stay Home at the Inn, Varric" mod. He's everywhere, even if you don't want him to be.

I'd probably use a "slap Anders upside his head" mod. And this coming from someone that really genuinely likes the guy!

I was, I will admit, slightly disappointed I didn't have the option of hitting him, or grabbing him by his robes and shaking him during the whole end-game sequence. After trying over and over again to keep some modicum of peace between the templars and mages all friggin' game, he goes and pulls that ridiculousness. I was especially displeased because it cost me Sebastian, who I had rather come to like.

However, I suppose it's a moot point anyway, because no matter how I might have wanted to react (say, for instance, by punching him in his Anders face), I would never have killed him. Mofo shares my bed for 3+ years? Yeah, not killing him. Sigh.

That doesn't mean a mod to smack him wouldn't be appreciated. ;)
