Which of your squadmates in ME2 do you find save your bacon a lot?

So, which squad member is always bailing your ****** out? For me, it's Garrus. When I should've been in covered recharging my shield, I've been fighting and some badguy finally vaults over my cover to finish me. But before he can, it's BOOM concussive shot. Can't even count how many times that's happened.

Shepard: Hey Grunt , you mind keeping that YMIR mech busy while i go hunt for some ammo?
Grunt : Mind?
I mean the guy cannot be taken down. You can leave your keyboard , go make a cup of coffee and he still there taking bullets. He doesn't save you directly, instead he acts as a meat shield or distraction for the enemy.
On my vanguard I have to go with Katsumi as well. Flashbang grenades can get you those couple seconds you need to get the hell out of dodge if you jumped into trouble. Also she's quite resilient given Shadow strike, which confuses enemies long enough to save both Shep and her.

Turn off squad power usage and keybind them instead of leaving it to chance.

Only has concussive shot as an active ability, so plays quite similar whether squad power usage is on or off.

Kasumi and Garrus are the other NPCs who constantly save my bacon. Shadow Strike, Concussion Shot or just plane old sniper headshots are always taking enemies down before they become a threat. Garrus is amazing with the Incisor. It's strange hearing the staccato coming from him rather than the one-shot-one-kill from his recruitment mission, but wow, I barely have a chance to engage enemies when Garrus is on point.

^ This - before I got the Geth Plasma Shotgun, I was always switching Tali back to her pistol and never using her shotgun cause she would always rush head-first into enemies to use her Evicerator and collapse in a lifeless heap in less than 2 seconds. After equiping her with the GPS, however, she suddenly transformed into one of the best and deadiest members of my squad all thanks to the GPS's superior range and damage output coupled with her Energy Drain ability (and somehow she always manages to live longer than Garrus and his sniper rifle).Orion1836 wrote...
I was disappointed with the way they did shotgun AI in ME2 vs. ME1. It forced me to constantly have to manually place Tali (or Jack/Jacob/Grunt) in cover, otherwise she'd go charging into the mobs and get flanked. HOWEVER, this all changed with the introduction of the Geth Plasma Shotgun. For whatever reason, the range difference makes shotgun-wielding AIs act more like they did in ME1, i.e. staying behind you and only blasting enemies who get close. It makes for a world of difference, and though its weird for her to be using a Geth weapon, Tali totally rapes face with it.

And either Kasumi's Shadow Strike or Flashbang has saved me bigtime too.

Kasumi is funny because I almost always end up killing the target that she attempts to shadow-strike.
