Thank you for the post! I will update once I try all these things out, compared against what's already there.

Empress' Point and the armor are looking mighty delicious right now...

LOL, I know, right?

I guess I modded the games of the thousands of people who've used my build, so they can do well with it, and the hundreds who've posted in this thread/PM'ed me to tell me how much fun and success they've had with it are lying...

It's a shame, too; it'd be easy to correct the problems with his build and play, but not the ones in his head. I know for a fact that you and everyone else who's tried this build has loved it and enjoyed it, I'm not going to lose a second of sleep over some ignorant, self-important fool who absolutely refuses to be helped, or change his mind.

The rest of you lovely people, however, are awesome, and I'll keep helping you be awesome for as long as I can.

But not quite as awesome as you, right? *smirk*

Finally beat the Arishok alone with my zerker. Stocked up on more potions then just some rejuvenation and used poisons. Still a drawn out event, but it was on Hard and it worked.

Random observation: Am I the only one that thinks the first 2h sword from the DLC looks like Auron's from ffx?

AreleX, I just wanted to express my gratitude for your marvellous guide - it has been invaluable to my nightmare warrior run and an engaging, enjoyable read. Heartfelt thanks :)

Hehe, the OP's build was pretty much my first DA2 Character. I had planned to make a speedy Warrior even before so the talents were pretty simple to pick. My Hawke had the first name Gordon so you can guess what his nickname was, lol.

I get what you mean. Just not sure if it injuries are calculated into it damage bonus. I'm mostly sure it just counts 100% of 'usable health' and what you can regen back from. Injuries seem to be like sustainables. Each one removes X health from concideration in game mechanics. So injuring youself ahead of time to, say, 100 health from 300, wouldn't give you a starting base of +80% damage (number pulled from air) or so. Any damage to that existing 100 would be used.

And yes, in my game, if I hit SF the moment combat begins (using my L19 314hp warrior) I instantly go to 180hp, so slight exageration in my post, but SF does decidedly more then -20hp to me so I never use it anymore period.

Update: Unfortunately, 100% hp = max hp with current number of injuries :(

IN1 tested the idea and yeah, you're right. Pity because I was looking forward to dealing huge amounts of damage. I suppose that with a strength build you can actually get higher spike damage anyway, so no huge loss.
That's weird about your sacrificial frenzy - I never used it that much (never got injured enough) and if I did I generally died soon after using it so never noticed anything like that ..on second thoughts, maybe that's why i died..

Im not sure wether you guys have figured it out but im going to post this anyway.

The reason your Sacrifical Frenzy does so much damage is because there is a glitch that happens when equiping shield with 100% damage to enemy that attacks in melee (eg: Shield of the Knight Herself).

The damage SF does is being treated as if you re attacking your self in melee and thus it is reflected back upon you. I ve died so many times when using SF under the influence of Cleave, then i switched to Mage's friend and the issue cease.

Oh on an unrelated topic this 100% damage to enemy that attack in melee works prety well againts the Arishok. He deals a lot of damage to himself from attacking you especially that grab attack of his. I would post a video to prove it  but i dont have the appropiate hardware.

I'm midway through Act II with this build, the sheer killing speed of this build is insane.  By far the most fun build I've played as well.  Thanks AreleX!

I started a game and used this build and I gotta say, it's DEVASTATING. I haven't even gotten Sacrificial Frenzy yet and I do a good 200+ damage average. Mind you, I'm playing on Normal, but it's still very fun to put down loads of enemies with just sheer force. After picking up Deathblow, it's not even fair. I had to set Anders to cast Haste on me when I'm at 90% stamina because the recovery is so enormous.

Thanks again for creating such a great, fun, and AWESOME build.

I am tempted to try this build ( at level 6 with my current run ) - I've done Sabre's build and its very effective. But since I play on xbox I cannot use all the abilities like he does ( six and seven power combos ) without using the power wheel to get at the other abilities. I worry about not having the templar tree - Holy smite and cleanse/silence are really helpful in some fights. How do you deal with stopping those mages/spirits when they are in their spells?

That's part of the reason I didn't play Sabre's build; too many skills for my limited mapping ability. For 2h, you can use your 1-point Mighty Blow and Scythe to interrupt attacks.

Just a question. I am trying this guide, at level 9 now ( just started using Barrage ), and I'm hoping that it gets better faster. I'm comparing it to my experience with Sabre's build at this point. I just did the Hightown hideout "The Barracks" and Fenris Deneris's Mansion and found them more difficult than with Sabre's build. With that build you get a burst where you can cleve, Mighty Blow, Pcythe, whirlwind and the boss and several of his friends are gone straight away. With this build it took me longer and I took a lot of damage ( party members got killed while I focused on the Boss). Does Endless Berserk, Unrelenting Barrage, and Savage Berserk spike up your damage a lot?

Pommel Strike is also an extremely effective way of stopping mages.  If it's upgraded you get a handy on-demand Stagger, something that 2Hs don't necessarily have (S&S have Shield Bash).

SnS will have a lower apparent damage output. If you have Shield Defense activated it will be lower due to the -25% damage so make sure it's only on when really needed. Arelex's main thrust is on auto attacks to fuel Berserk which is more a battle of attrition over spike damage like you get from the chain you quoted. Assault + Battery and Scatter + Disperse have some good damage but SnS is not an activated attack focused set like 2-handed is.

SnS also has a much smaller arc so swings are not to likely to hit more then 1-2 clustered enemies as opposed to 2-handed which tends to hit 3+ per swing in clustered groups.

Sabre's build is better early-game, come mid/end-game, mine is better. If you're REALLY struggling, respec and go through Reaver first, then take Berserker at 14.
