What are the changes to berserk exactly?

So with the changes does Adrenaline become a viable dps talent or is it still a dump point?

Overall warrior damage is still less than it was, even with the buff to Berserk. You won't notice it though because battles generally go by quicker.

That's true, and they lowered the amount you can deal to higher ranked enemies with a single attack which I don't understand at all. It sounds like with the update that Nightmare is even harder now.
There is one thing though: it seems that removing injuries from Traps also removed injuries from party members being revived. I've had Bethany get KOed a couple times and revive without injuries.
Arelex: In the video you posted, what weapon is that?

Arelex HI have been reading about your build an watching the vid for awhile. I just got my self set up to make the change over to your warrior Berserker Vanguard build when the new patch hit the fan.
My question is is the build going to stay the same or do you plan on making changes? I ask because if there are changes coming down the pipe I will wait to respect my toon as I want to be able to use the best of what is now looking like a rather large NERF to a lot of things.
Thanks
Zephryus

doesn't actually seem like it will be changing much, as far as YOUR build, but I will definitely be updating companion builds soon

i only use SnS for speed runs, where i respec into it, so I don't really have a 'set build'.
take out everything from SnS tree except shield defense (don't use), shield bash (don't use), and upgraded assault/scatter, don't use taunt, and the rest is pretty much above.
please refrain (not you) from asking me too many questions about the patch, i'll deal with that bs later.

I read through the entire guide and I have two questions that aren't clear in the guide. First, it appears that this build is meant to tank with, since you're the only melee in the group comp.
Second, there is nothing about point distribution. I started throwin points in to Str and Dex for damage, but when I realized you are meant to tank, therefore, no cons will lead to many deaths. Can you clarify where points go?

Points go into enough str/con for armor/weapon, rest into wil. Maybe some str still for attack. It's not really a tanking build, point is to disable/kill everything before they can do much damage.

I see, ty. Coming from Origins, not having a tank (oher than rogue solo build) just seemed far fetched to me. Perhaps it could have been done, but, would have been very difficult for me to pull off.

Dragon Age 2 is a zero-sum game. You hit hard enough, you hit fast enough, you hit as many as possible, you win. There's no need for tanking in this game.

I'm almost done with Act2. I have to say, Arelex, playing my warrior with your Berserker/vanguard/Reaver guide just rocks! I've had much more fun with this warrior than with my sword/s first build. Really had fun with the companion group you suggested. My god, Merrill IS good for something other than trying to find the poor thing a meal.
Thanks for posting this!

GUIDE READERS! A REQUEST!
If you read my guides, are looking for updates to them, PLEASE POST IN HERE AND LET ME KNOW.
I don't want to go through the trouble of updating them if nobody is actually playing with the patch. All you guys who just read and don't post, now is the time to do so. If people DO actually answer, I will put in the work to get them up to speed, while also leaving in the old info for those of you who don't. If not, they are being left as-is.

I'd like an update Arelex, mainly because if I want to update to 1.01 I have no choice but to pick up 1.02 either =/

Would request an update too - playing SnS and uncertain if 1.03 nerfed Assault and Scatter enough to move to 2H.
Also wondering if 1.03 builds should keep STR at 41 and pump into WILL for Berserk, or maybe MAG for elemental warrior as per IN1...

Your guide has been very valuable to me at understanding not only this particular build, but the way the game works on a more fundamental level. I for one would greatly appreciate an update to reflect the changes in 1.03.

I am using this guide, with 2H warrior and the 1.03 patch so I would appreciate any updates you have, if you have the time/inclination. Thanks! ... oh, and my next play through will be with dual rogue, so I would like to see your thoughts on that too, but there is plenty of time before I get there so no rush
