So yes, its easy to fit in the pummel upgrade into the SnS beserker build and its well worth it. Just because the OP doesn't do so does not mean it isn't doable. It certainly gives you a very effective combo with Isabela for all you fans of the pirate queen (like me).

First off, as soon as I got claymore I dropped pummel. Later on I picked up pummel again, but it was much later (like level 23).
Arelex either missed taking a Devour in the Reaver tree in the latest SnS build. The only way to stay true to the build in terms of levels and what to take when, is to take Torpor's deal and let him possess the half-elf kid.

great write-up. Do you plan on updating it? If so you should mention that Might isn't worth to use if you have at least more than 333 stamina consistently.

Hello there. I've been following the post-patch guide pretty strictly and I've gotten to level 16. Now I'm trying to defeat the Crazed Loner Mage on Sundermount, along with all of the stuff that spawns and it's been hell, especially given the 2 assassins. Any tips on how to beat this encounter? I'm trying to do it without resorting to using Mythal's Favor.
Edit: I'm using the SnS build, with Merrill, Anders, and Sebastian. I also skipped the Wounding Arrow upgrade to get the disorient effect on the fog sooner.
Edit #2: Managed to do it after changing my approach. Instead of having Hawke go straight after the Crazed Loner Mage, I waited for the assassin to spawn so I could kill it, and then I made the next assassin my highest priority target, and finally the Arcane Horror. By the time the Arcane Horror came out, my companions had killed the mage, and I was able to finish the fight. 2 teammates got injured, but I was able to complete it.

So is this topic dead? Because if so, I kinda want to bump it just so newer people who have never seen this build before get the chance to see it now. Because in my opinion, this is the best DA2 warrior build out there. I swear by this build, great fun and power behind it.

Nice to see someone on this thread. I have been using this build and am deep into Act 2 with it. This is my first playthrough of the game, and I've managed to avoid most spoilers in applying the guide, and been having a blast with the combat. I just finished up the last sidequest I had in an epic battle with Xebenkeck.
I have a few questions:
1. What to buy? AreleX did a great job covering this build, but I find myself wondering what would be the best accessories for my character. So far, I've been using the purchase list from Sabresandiego's guide, but haven't bought the Etched Ring of the Twins yet since there's several expensive items available, and I'm not sure what would benefit the build/party best.
2. Regarding buying items, should I prioritize buying for myself over my chosen party? For context, I'm using Isabela, Anders, and Merrill.
3. Attribute allocation: I've reached the 39 Strength 21 Willpower and 31 Constitution mentioned in the guide, and wonder where I should put my points now. More Strength? Maybe some Dexterity or Cunning to score criticals more often and with more power? Or should I just dump it into Willpower--I don't quite understand the damage calculation on the Berserker for how much Stamina is left, but heard elsewhere that it would be more beneficial to pump Willpower over Strength.
Any assistance would be appreciated, and thanks to AreleX for such an in-depth guide for a fun playing experience!

Buy whatever you need, you have the gold glitch at your disposal after all. Use it and buy any and all equipment you want.
Yes, every point in willpower boosts berserk damage. Every 2 points in Strength increases your damage by 1 point,
every 2 points in Willpower combined with Berserk increases your damage by 1.5 points. A willpower berserker will have more base damage for their first 33% of their stamina pool - after which they will start to have less base damage than a pure strength setup. This is a considerable difference by the later levels, since 100 strength will give 45 base damage while 100 willpower will give ~67.5 base damage.
The other thing to consider though is sustains - sustains severely impact the stamina and thus damage of a willpower berserker which means that they miss out on bonuses like might (extra +10% damage, +25% crit damage) and bravery (+5% damage for every enemy after the first, +3% crit damage for every enemy after the first).
So my suggestion is to at least make sure to at least be sure your willpower isn't neglected. I have focused more on strength than on willpower because I don't want my damage to substantially drop after burning through a bit of stamina in a protracted fight. But I'm definitely raising willpower, at least 1 point per level. And I've actually been doing 2 willpower points per level since my strength hit 50 since I figure 50 is enough for now (my willpower is around 30 or 31 right and I don't plan to stop there). It's kinda like the choice between cunning and dexterity in DAO for a cunning bard rogue. As a bard with song of courage every point in cunning raised my damage and attack more than dexterity, but I never ignored dexterity. I would keep dexterity at least keeping up with my cunning stat. But whether it be prioritizing strength or keeping the 2 attributes roughly even I think you'll be well off, and I don't recommend being solely focused on willpower unless you like your damage turning to crap anytime your stamina hits 80% or lower.

That helps a lot with stat allocation. I'm not going to use the gold glitch this time through the game though; I'd like to see the extent of the challenge on this first time through. Thanks for the response.
