well, your reply is exactly the same thing what i wanted to say, just that i cant express better in words.
actually, i might have misread somewhere in the post that this is a tank build. but rather, this is a warrior assuming the role of a tank with some tanking capabilities.

@AreleX: Definitively gonna try out this build. Although may try to customize it for a SnS since i already did a TH warrior with the Isabella and Sebastian bug. God Bioware please fix that. Anyhow what is the rarity of the the Templar Armor Superior Issue in Act 2 Dissent? Although I have to admit i like TH a lot more in this game then the Mage and Rogue classes.
I put up a prototype SnS variant of the build, courtesy of T3hAnubis, so you can give that a try and see how it goes. If you have trouble getting the Templar armor from Ser Alrik, don't want to wear Dissention, and are really hurting for a chestpiece in Act II, you could buy:
Monolith's Heart (23 STR, 23 CON Req.)
163 Armor
+34 Health
+16 Armor
+5 Health regeneration rate
(Armor shop, Gallows courtyard)

I've been looking at the way your tactics are set up, and have been wondering if they work the way you intend them to. For example, you have:
Enemy: STAGGERED - Use current condition for next tactic
Enemy: Target rank is Elite or higher - Crushing Prison
The problem is that if there is no staggered enemy nearby, doesn't the game automatically go to the next tactic, which is then to cast crushing prison on an elite or higher enemy? There have been multiple threads trying to figure this problem out, such as this one: http://social.biowar...55070/2#6727897 and no one seems to have figured it out yet.

Sometimes, Merrill will behave absolutely fine, and do it when and on what she's supposed to (Elite staggered), with different levels of enemies present. Other times, she will randomly decide cast it on trash/non-staggered elites instead.
From what I've experienced, the tactics are bugged in a few different ways. If you're looking for an answer on on how they are bugged, that's anyone's guess, but the only indisputable thing is that they are, in fact, ****ed up.
I've tried tons of different combinations, and this is the one that works most consistently.
EDIT: The way I understand 'Use current condition for next tactic' is this: it's SUPPOSED to add an extra variable to the tactic below, making it one string of 'If X and Y, then Z', instead of 2 separate tactics, so if all the conditions are not met, it doesn't get used. In practice, the glitchiness can sometimes decide otherwise.
DOUBLE EDIT: I just checked your link. I believe I remember reading that 'Jump to Tactic' is also bugged, and instead of jumping to the tactic you tell it to, it jumps to the one AFTER that. I don't remember if that's correct or not.

Yeah this is how it is designed to work, and the vast majority of the time it will work properly. If either of the conditions are not met, then the tactic will be skipped. It's the best way to manage your companions. Using the "Jump to..." tactics just doesn't work, no matter what I try they are seem totally broken.

Great read man! And I just _LOVE_ that you've used the Berserk song in the video
I'm glad you did! I figured that some people would hate the song, some people would find it OK, and the people who knew of Berserk would REALLY LOVE IT, and the meanings behind its use.

I have to know. How are you able to target those enemies so fast? Is it easier on the 360? I'm on PC and whenever I try and play full speed like you do I inevitably end up missing the enemy completely and "move" to the point I clicked. It's rather annoying.
Is there a secret recipe to this?
Half serious actually.

Also food for thought for anyone.
What are your feelings on the greatsword you get from the Blackpowder promise quest line in act 2
The Brothers' End
28 physical damage (46 per second)
+88 attack
+10% physical damage
+3 Spirit damage
31 strength required
I literally just picked this up so haven't played with it much, you lose the healing and the rune slot Oathbreaker gives, but other than that seems like a pretty sweet sword.
Thoughts?

I'm not sure about the 360 but on the PC you can map "target and attack nearest enemy" to a hotkey. It may be possible to do the same on the console version. It allows you to bounce like a pinball on crack between enemies by mashing one button.

I think it's just the fact that, on 360, all I have to do is hold the left thumbstick in their direction + press A. I don't have to do anything tedious like manually clicking on the enemy.
Also, The Brother's End is the best sword in Act II, you'll more than likely be taking it into Act III until you can upgrade there.

I could write an entire page on how many stupid tactics bugs I've seen, yet the most prevelant and annoying is when you put your group on hold. They will RANDOMLY fire when enemies come into range while other times RANDOMLY just stand there, even when an enemy is in the group. On top of that, if you select the group and command them to attack a target, they will only fire once and then stand there not doing anything again, and you pretty much have to act like auto attack does not exist on the PC and manually click each shot for your group.
Why do you have to put them on hold that much? Because Anders has some of the worst AI imaginable, and even if he is set to "ranged", he will constantly rush up to do melee staff attacks because he wants to die to Warrior area of effect. The only character to rival him is Miranda and her box crouching "cover", while she's looking over the menu of missile sandwiches.

ANDERS.
Let's have a talk about THIS mother****er.
He ALWAYS finds a way to get in between myself, the pain train (woo woo), and the enemy. I don't know how, I don't know why, but he's like the guy who shows up at parties 5 hours after they start, and is just SHOCKED when there's no more alcohol. What did you expect, champ? You set yourself up for this.
"SOMEONE GET ME A POULTICE, QUICK!"
**** you, get your own poultice, ***hole.
In all of my videos, you will see that my game is as such:
10% dispatching trash quickly.
10% being prepared for adds.
10% landing staggers to set up CCCs.
10% locking down Elites before they can become a threat.
10% managing my talents/cooldowns.
100% MANUVERING AROUND THE PICK ANDERS SETS FOR EVERY SINGLE ENEMY.
That doesn't add up? I don't care, Anders makes me angry.
/rant
Miranda is also a top contender in the Bioware Darwin Awards, but that's another topic entirely.

Actually, Merrill is the only one I'll reload for right away if she dies near the beginning of a fight.

On my 2H warrior playthrough on Nightmare, I'm personally at the point now where if I happen to Scythe Anders into pulp in the beginning of a fight, I just leave him dead unless I absolutely need him. I'm pretty sure he's working for the enemy (whoever my enemies happen to be) because he waits until I'm in the correct arc to be hit by Winter's Grasp, lands it, then either an assassin lands a brittle combo on me, or Varric shatters me with Archer's Lance, right on cue.

Enemies don't trigger CCCs. Only your friendly fire may trigger CCCs, which is why Archer's Lance should NOT be put on auto Tactics. It is every bit as dangerous as Hail of Arrows.

Nah. Being a Heal Bot + Haste Machine + occasional Barrier Guy is enough job for him.
If he tosses in a few Glyphs here and there I'll give him overtime bonus.
At the end of the day, the Passive Tactic is there to be used, and if Anders doesn't use it, who will? :innocent:
