Maybe the Bioware team need to watch a few more M15+ movies with sex scenes that involve nudity for inspiration.
That being said, Anders kiss is still the best kiss I have ever seen in any game.

Fenris and Isabella both keep their clothes on.artsangel wrote...
I thought the scenes were handled well, and far less awkward than DAO, but were definitely not fitting with the rating of the rest of the game. Though it was nice to have Hawke and Merril lying in bed afterwards in underclothes, talking about stuff - why not this with other characters? (I haven't romanced Fenris yet so I don't know what happens with him.)

Hmm the only game I seen that wasn't PG-13 in that area was that mexican guy in RDR. And that was one thing I wish I never saw, for now on when I hear VIVA LA MEXICO, I'll be unable to take who says that serriously.

I can just imagine Varris recounting smut involving his good friends to Cassandra. Funny, but that would have been awkward. I'm sure they'll be a mod for that.

Or you can get porn on the internet. With real people.
Seriously. We know what happens after the screen fades. Watching digital characters having sex is just...awkward.

The "why don't you go watch some porn" argument is invalid. To use an analogy, say you're romantically involved with a person, and when you finally consummate your relationship, he or she turns the light out for fear of judgment, and quips that "if you want to see nudity go on the internet".
We as gamers are invested in the (albeit fictional) relationships involving those characters. Watching some random adult material does not carry the same meaning. The "romance sequence" is suppose to be one of intimacy and vulnerability, Cutting from the shot when their lips meet to them with the "business done" and fully dressed leaves a gap in our immersion of their relationship.
"Watching internet porn" would be as suitable a substitute as the abrupt and incoherent cut to a photograph of two random people kissing when Hawke and a LI lock lips. Granted we don't need explicit showcase of the six things Isabella are good for but as Mass Effect and other games (Heavy Rain for one) have demonstrated, a romance sequence can be an integral part of the story while remaining classy.
As long as the sequences do not wander into MacGruber territory, something is still better than nothing.

Nor did I compare the game to a real life lover, hence the words "fictional" and "analogy". My criticism was made toward those who responded "watch porn" as substitute. Personally I have more problem with the floating swords on Isabella's back than anything else. Different people need different enticement to immerse themselves in the story, but I doubt any can accept "watch some porn" as an answer.Addai67 wrote...

I really don't even know what to say to certain threads. This is an artistic presentation, not your RL lover. You may not agree, but the aesthetics of pixel sex are more often grody and awkward than sexy IMO. I much prefer the suggestion and the fade to black.
