First of all thanks for all the hard work this is very helpful. Im still confused on one issue though. As soon as you get the friendship buff from then on you must always save and load with Isa/Seb in the party. Or can i manually remove them from the party say from the hanged man and deactivate the buff before i get the bug then saving without them in the party?
Hawke stuck in slow motion animation. *Bioware response and temporary solution included*

I've done this lots of times, loaded without Isabela in the party, and I have not encountered the glitch. I got her to max friendship right at the beginning of Act 2.
So, I am confused.
Oh yeah, I have also disabled Auto-Save before I even started any New Games.
I have also gathered the whole Bone Pit issue is with Auto-Save turned on.

Going through the PC forums, the glitch also has something to do with reallocating stats (with that one item from Black Emporium...), which I now notice is when I started getting glitches. In general the glitch happens not when you save but when you load in (most) areas without bella or sebastian in the party.
@blade_1987 - Once the glitch is active there's no way to deactivate the buff (since it's deactivated already, but the game thinks it's active). So when you load the game it'll permanently 'over-remove' the buff from hawke.

This really really needs to be fixed.
An update would be great.

I appreciate all the work that people have put into this so far, but the workaround of always having Isabela and Seabass in the party just isn't feasible... and neither is being a dick to them.
I want to make it clear that I am in LOVE with this game, but the fact that this bug got past QA seems pretty sloppy. This issue needs to be addressed VERY soon.

I hope to continue my mage playththrough if this glitch ever get fix or else I would be very disappointed in Bioware.

Of course they'll fix it... this is a game breaking bug. Hopefully sooner than later, though.

ok i went and set my speed from -60 to 0
Now do I have to still get her back in my party and only save when she's in it ?

@ UKillMeLongTime You're in the 360 thread, you'll probably find more help win the PC one:

I know where I am, lol
You can edit xbox game saves too if you have a thumb drive. There is a program that edits a few things and speed is one of them. It's nothing like what the PC modders do but it's better than nothing!

Yeah I know as I am using the 360 and a xbox DA2 game save editor. It does just a few things as it's not like the PC editors but it does have speed that can be adjusted back to normal.

So when this bug gets fixed will it just stop it from happening in the future, or will it fix it for people who already have it?
Because I really don't want to go back to before the glitch started and lose all that progress.
Honestly right now it's bad to the point where I'll probably stop playing the game until it's fixed, even though I love the game.

That's what I'm wondering too. It'd be a shame to have to ditch my 60hour Rogue playthru because the game doesn't work properly
I've played nothing else since I got DA2 right up until it had slowed to a crawl, no I can't play it at all!
The only positive thing to come out of this is that it's freed up some time for me to go back to playing Torchlight (please note Bioware: this is NOT a positive for you lol).
I really hope the patch (if/when it happens) will fix existing saves rather than just prevent it from happening again.
I think right now the worst thing is that Bioware have gone deathly silent on this subject, and what with this issue not even appearing in the major faults thread, they really can't blame their fans for feeling a bit put out right about now...let's face it, a simple "we're still looking into this, progress update coming soon" would at least let us know there's hope!

A temporary fix for the slow attack speed is to use the Primeval Lyrium Rune on your own character - therefore boosting the attack speed up enough to make it viable. Of course it isn't a true fix, but it can make things easier on your game. Obviously, this is hardly ideal, but it works out to be an alright way to do this. However of course, I'd refrain from doing too much until the game comes out, as when it gets patched the Rune may not be nearly as useful on your character. After all, it may be more useful for Varric to enchant Bianca with it, allowing for high-power speedy shots from our favourite dwarf.

Happened to me. My dude is fighting like a pensioner and every hit does'nt seem to drain stamina, unless it's a talent.
Also nice to see Bioware keeping the fanbase updated.....

Didnt know if anyone posted this but I think there is a way to get Isabella's bug WITHOUT putting her in your party. I had Isabella's friendship and went to talk to her in the hanged man. I got the scene where the guy is giving his worm speech. Afterward she asks hawke about her romance and if you get the 5 friendship points Isabella passive power is in your abilities screen without putting her in your party.

Sounds about right. I had Aveline's friendship perk active when she wasn't in my party...and I hadn't even gained her full friendship! (>_<) at that point I assumed that you must just get all the relevant friend perks once you'd got it near enough. Didn't even consider that it might actually just be stuffed up lol.
Funnily enough, since then I've had Isabela, Aveline & Sebastien in my party at various times (with full friendship) & noticed that I haven't had any friendship buff active XD
Maybe just leave any friendship/party buffs out of Mass Effect 3 eh? Save everyone a lot of hassle!

Wait... Aveline's friendship buff screws your character too? I thought it was just Seabass and Isabela. Wow.
Will continue my origins playthrough until a patch is out. Playing a mage for the Amell connection.

Aveline's does not affect anything. It transfers damage (3%?) from Hawke to her. If anything the bug may help survivability...
Bioware's responses are in the original post so we know they are addressing it.
For Isabella and Sebastian, avoiding it is difficult if you befriend them. One way to stop it from getting worse is always load your game when they are in the party. So if you didn't bring them to a particular quest, you cannot load any saves while they are not in your party. You guys can see how this is annoying as sometimes you die (esp. on Nightmare...) and sometimes you want to explore different choices.

Yeah Aveline's buff doesn't affect anything untoward, but it appeared when it shouldn't have.
Upon further investigation I'm currently sat at just under -55% Attack Speed...no wonder it was feeling like Hawke was fighting in treacle XD
