Worse than Neverwinter Nights? Really? :?

If expansion packs are included: Throne of Bhaal.

KotOR
DAO

BG2 - Expansion
JE

NWN

I was not a fan of the story in the BG series for the most part, however the expansion I did like, also FR lore has its good parts and its bad parts and imo, BG focused on a lot of the parts of the lore I didnt like and made them popular.

That all said, my list is based on how much I went back to the games or want to go back to the games.

This depends on how you judge "best" or "worst".  If I made a list of BioWare games I would want to play again, it would go like this - in priority order of "best" down to "worst":

DA2
ME2
JE
DA:O
ME1
BG2 - SoA
BG2 - ToB
KotOR
BG1
DA:O - A
NWN - HotU
NWN - SoU
NWN

If you're talking "emotional favourites", then BG2-SoA would potentially move to the top of the list because I still have a strong emotional fondness for BG2 - I just know that I don't want to go back and play it again.

I laugh at people who say Mass Effect 2 is their worst game... seriously? No I never played them on consoles, Mass Effect 1 pc Mass Effect 2 pc. The writing, voice acting, story, characters, graphics, shooting and cover mechanics were all spot on. Seriously when I read someone who says "mass effect 2 was their worst game.." you must be a God damn troll. Oh no it didn't have a cluster**** of an inventory, oh no the story is bad, oh no the guns shoot and things die.. where is the dice rolling? wahhh

It's opinions you know. Personnaly I found ME2 disapointing because of the writing, the story, the characters, the shooting and the cover mechanics (worst ever, who in their right mind would use the same key for taking cover and running). Seems we are at both opposites of a large spectrum :D .

ME2's right now the only Bioware game that disapointed me when I first played it.

I haven't finished DA2 so I don't know how it will fair compared to ME2.

If that game had a redeeming feature, I couldn't tell you what it was.

I thought the one key for running and cover worked well! What I thought was missing was the crouch button, you cant move around the outside of a square piece of cover without standing up. That's my only ME2 complaint!

The OC from Neverwinter Nights was much worse. But honestly, the bad in this one kind of outweighs the good.

the whole story is not connected with each mission or each character to go continually. I feel like doing totally separate quests every time. enemies have way overpowered. even something looks easy. but because of that, I died in ridiculous way. I don't still like this game but I have the mission to finish it at least because I bought it. I am not sure whether I will play it again near the future. combat is so boring. just think about this. when your fingers or hand is not busy to control, it's failed. what more funnier thing is that I even play without mouse. only keyboard. amazing, huh? No, it's not.

Neverwinter Nights was their best game overall even if the oc was not great.
DA2 is good. I'd say BioWares 1st game, "Find the gall stone."

btw, anyone that says Baldurs Gate is the worst should recieve 30 lashes with a wet piece of fusili.

It is, out of the one's I've played. I'm sure it had to do with my own high expectations, and it's not a BAD game, but it's not the game I wanted and their other stuff is better.

DA2 I thought lacked way to much. I will be witing for witcher 2 and skyrim. Lets just hope they dont butcher witcher 2 like bioware did DA2.

Baldurs game is a much older game, and harder for people to play if they haven't already and are used to modern games.

Only problem with skyrim is I'll need to buy a new laptop if it's going to be anything like Oblivion was like to run when it first came out!

Nope, Bioware has not made any bad games imo.

Jade Empire I liked but I gave it a 8/10, Dragon Age2 I gave a 8.5/10.

Might not be as good as KOTOR, Baldurs Gate or Origins, but DA2 is still a very good game in its own right.

Bioware has never made a bad game but the Bioware game I probably enjoyed the least was Neverwinter Nights.

Kind of an unfair question, because what I really think you are trying to ask is, "Is Dragon Age 2 a horrible game?"

It would be the "worst" for me, because I enjoyed the Mass Effect series the most out of all of their games I've played.  KotOR leaves way to many memories to put it down on the list, so it's right under the Mass Effect series for me, though it really does compete with it, but if I had to put it on a list, I'd say Mass Effect comes first.

Dragon Age: Origins immersed me so deeply in the story, I really felt emotion playing it: I felt really as if I was in the fantasy land, not the protagonist creation of BioWare - I felt in a way as if I was my warden.  Dragon Age: Origins was so huge and satisfying, it does beat Dragon Age 2 on my list.  And honestly, I mispoke, because it does beat KotOR on my list, and maybe even Mass Effect.. just with the feeling it gave me with the 100+ hours from escaping the overrun Cousland castle to the end where I traveled through the gate with Morrigan.

It was a great game, but it also was in development for some time.  I really, really wish BioWare put more time into this game to make it as immersive as the original.  But alas, it is not the original, so the difference in experience does not bother me.  The title is rather irrelevant.  I still love this game, and favor it above many others.  So it is not a bad game to me, very much on the contrary, but on my list, it is the "worst" BioWare game I have played.

That being said, I have not played Jade Empire, Sonic Chronicals, Baldure's Gate, etc.   Though I do hope to!  I love BioWare, and they are still to date my favourite game development company.

I dont get the Jade Empire hate...

Maybe its the whole not understanding the eastern culture thing; I dunno.

I loved JE. Keep praying for a second one. Loved the whole eastern thing, and the combat wasnt the worst combat in a BW game (that dubious honour belongs to DAO actually which after the second playthru slow, boring, repetitive, unbalanced, and annoying).
Okay so it is really hard to make combat not boring and repetitive after one playthru. but there are degrees. As long as it doesnt touch "annoying" or "irritating" at any point like the combat in DAO or BG/BG2 sometimes does then it ranks higher automatically.

The fact that JE has the better storyline than DA2, had less bugs, had better companion interaction than DA2 (that is the interaction outside of romances), and the combat being -almost- as faced paced as DA2's means that JE comes above it for me. Lots above it lol.

No. Disliked Neverwinter Nights MUCH MUCH more. To me DA2 is actually one of their best games, flaws and all. I only hope that they'll fix its issues and really make it shine.

This game is by far the worst.  I remember not liking the single player for NWN but thats not why you played in the first place.

Sonic Chronicles looked pretty bad, but I haven't played it.

Right now, I'm calling it a tie between Baldur's Gate and Jade Empire. Baldur's Gate wasn't necessarily bad, I think I might have just hated the ruleset because I enjoyed Icewind Dale 2 a lot. But I also found the story to be kind of silly. No offense to those of you who liked it; I didn't. Some of the characters were OK, I suppose. I just really preferred Fallout to BG.

Of course, most of Jade Empire's characters were just kind of there to be there. And the combat system was so broken that it made me sad. I think I hold out hope that one day they'll make a second one and it'll be a ton better, and the combat will have me dashing around on walls and doing wirework-movie style kung-fu and the alignment system will be a lot better.

EDITED TO ADD://

Everything in JE felt like a painful asian stereotype to me. The combat wasn't the worst for me, just the most breakable; I would use the Paralyze style, then White Demon into Twin Axes, and the combo couldn't be stopped until the enemy died if I switched styles at the right time. It was just painfully boring to me after a certain point. And I strenuously disagree that JE is better than DA2, but that's subjective.

I am totally with you that I hope they make another JE, though. I think there's a lot of potential. I want to like it, but I feel like there's flaws that need to be addressed.

Ugh. I guess I'm gonna say Jade Emprie, but I also think it has potential. DA2 is among the best for me.

KOTOR 2. But even that was not bad.
