Yes.

It was ME2, but well, DA2 clubbed it down pretty easily.

Lol I was feeling the same way. I rather play as Commander Babysitter then Hawke. I have to wonder if DA2 will be replaced by Star Wars the Old Republic.  Same seems the Curse of EA has started to take effect of BioWares. Soon everything they make will be just pure garbage.

Star Wars the Old Republic? LOL!

Yet another MMO that will more than likely fail.

Like the last star wars mmo they tried to make. :P

No way. I actually think DA2 might end up being my favourite of their titles despite its various issues (with the possible exception of BG2) but I can't say for sure until I've had a playthrough as other classes and experienced more of the content. In the top three of Bio games, definitely.

As for worst, NWN OC. Really uninspired. Its only saving graces were the atmosphere of plague-hit Neverwinter City in the first chapter, which was very well done, and the way various skills etc were used in conversation. Made playing different classes feel quite worthwhile.

So my preferences, as things stand  BG2 - DA2 - ME2 - BG/ME1 - DA:O - KotOR - JE - NWN

That list seems unfair, somehow.

First, Bio games are a whole other standard compared to the games of the rest of the developers out there, imo. So the game at the bottom of the list is still a game I enjoyed far more than most other CRPGs. I mean, I loved Hordes of the Underdark, and NWN remains the single best value for money game I have ever purchased, due to the thousands of hours I've spent playing community mods. And yet, it's at the bottom of the list.

And BG is not right at the top, even though Durlag's Tower in TotSC is the single best location in any game ever in the history of ever. And Sagacious Zu is one of my favourite characters in any game, but there's JE, second from bottom. And how the hell did Origins end up fourth from bottom??? Gack, I hate this question =]

Worst Bioware game I've played, yes, but not the worst game I've played. I don't regret buying it, but I do regret spending $60 on it. If I had the choice now I would have waited until it was half that.

I loved NWN and its expansions, surprised how many people rated that so low. Baldur's Gate 2 was definitely the best for me though.

Neverwinter is worst bioware game that I have played.

DA2 is very close second.

I wouldn't call any other bioware game as bad. Only these two.

I would say Jade Empire was my worst (but still a good game). This game is good. I liked it; it just wasn't as good as DA:O for me.

Neverwinter 1 is my pick for the 'worst' Bioware game. I liked NWN2. Just remembered NWN 2 was Obsidion, not Bioware. I sometimes get those two companies confused.

But, even if DA2 was the worst, so what?

Never played Jade Empire.

I could commit heresey and say I was not super fond of the Kotors and like DA2 better.

1. Baldurs Gate 2
2/3. Baldurs Gate
2/3. Dragon Age: Origins
4. Mass Effect
5. Never Winter Nights
6. Starwars Knights of the Old Republic
7. Mass Effect 2
8. Dragon Age 2

Dragon Age 2 on last place because "Hack & Slay" with "Conversation Wheel" it would be nice if Diablo III would be a truly deep and epic rpg then i would say "poetic justice".

NWN2 wasn't BioWare.

People were very reasonable when I professed a lack of fondness for KotOR. It's not as much of a heresy as you might think.

Ok, here is my slam dunk omg heresey!

Morrowind and Oblivion are not even rpgs!
While I like having large open worlds to explore, I find the more linear games like Vampire Bloodlines or Dragon Age Origins to tell a better story.
I would die a happy man if there was a way to merge Dragon Age and Oblivion.
Mmmm....Oblivion with party banter...and...a party even!

Not trying to bash on Morrowind/Oblivion...I played both and like them, just not my favorites. I certainly appreciate what they offer for exploring a large world.

Definitely worst BioWare game I've played, and I regret spending money on it. I had my doubts during its development, hearing about the changes they were gonna make, etc. but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt because it's a BioWare game.

I actually tried to return it, but GameStop doesn't take back PC games so there you go. I bought Fallout: New Vegas instead and have been enjoying that a LOT.

No, it's the most average game of theirs I've played, but hardly the worst. Due to the tiny text and that making it hard to play the game, then Mass Effect 2 is maybe, for me, the worst.
Not that it's a terrible game, but whoever had the idea that tiny text in a game filled with text was a good idea wasn't thinking right.

NwN2 was lack luster I mean seriously you get taken out by a land slide.....give me NwN1 - hordes of the underdark any day, at least it had fun dialog and big "hold the line" fun moments.

The worst game from Bioware is still better than the best game by most other game companies.

For me it will be the Vanilla Campaign of NWN, but I never played it in full (since I found it so awful), nor did I try the mods and the expansions.

EDIT; Since people list the BW games, I'll do so as well .

1. Jade Empire (I'm almost ashamed by this, for some weird reason).
2. ME2
3. BG.
4. BG2
5. ME
6. KOTOR
7. DA2
8. BG:TB
9. DA:O

But I liked all these, and then I didn't like

10: NWN OC

Haven't tried any of the expansions to NWN.

As for sequels not made by BW KOTOR2, while buggy would be above KOTOR (esp. restored), and NWN2 below DA:O.

As for BW engine games PST would be first (above all), Witcher would be below KOTOR and then IWD 1&2 between DA:O and NWN2

NWN2 isn't BW, its obsidian, so rather pointless.

Also tastes, I found NWN2, while flawed, a lot better than NWN (vanilla versions, without expanions).

Mass Effect Galaxy.

But thats bound to happen when you enter the dangerous territory of selling part of yourself to a company like Apple.

No.

That title goes to NWN1 OC. I've tried for years to complete it and I just can't do it. Restarted multiple times and I always lose steam on it. Mix that with the fact that I prefer D&D 2E rules and by about the half way mark I just lose interest. I like the first chapter and bits of the second, but after that I just can never bring myself to beat it.

Aside from that misstep I've been very happy with every other BioWare product (even if I feel in the case of NWN2 and KotOR2, Obsidian made the better sequels and much more prefer those to the BW originals).

I bought Jade Empire, but after reading the manual I saw it was not something I wanted to try, and never even thought about trying a Sonic game. I have enjoyed BG, BG2, NWN, KotOR, ME1, DA:O, and even ME2 for the stories and characters that I cared about and provided the immersion for my PC. DA2 did or didn't do so much that broke the immersion in the game that it is indeed the only Bioware game I played once and uninstalled, all those mentioned above are still ready to run and most get played more than once a year. DA:O started the use of recycled areas, but just in some of the later DLC and at least modified somewhat or run backwards from the first time we saw them. DA2 can send you through the exact same map three times running should you line up your quests that way with only a few doors different. The framed narrative broke up the story too much for me, but I need way more background that only bores those waiting to fight. Spawn in and respawn enemies are things that I like least, so when more of the same drop from the sky in nearly every fight I swore out loud (sol?) and even considered calling it quits after first dozen. Only the Bethany and Aveline characters clicked for me, but to be fair they were there before the immersion was all gone, little chance for the rest and never saw Fenris since that quest sounded too shady for my goody (one shoe at least) PC.

I would have to say KoToR was my wosrt one. I haven't played the BG series in so long, I forgot. Never got on the NWN wagon either..

What killed it for me, was Carth Anassi.... like really killed it. I would not have him in my party, and made the wookie kill him everytime! The only reason why Kaidan didn't kill it for me in Mass Effect was, that once I killed him on Virmire, I knew I would never hear his whiny voice again.

But DA2 being the worst game??? No, I think it is because people were hoping for an exact clone of DAO with a new story line.

Whether a game is the worst ever published by any publisher or developer is highly subjective and depends solely on the the individual's personal opinion based on their own individual preferences.

In marketing, however, the best or worse for a given game is usually determined by total volume sales percentages per capita.

Therefore, while a given individual may believe that a particular game is the worst or best game they may have played actually matters very little in the over all scheme of things.

Opinion is, after all, a matter of individual perspective...

Carth, and the lack of companion influence was for me the worst parts of KOTOR, that and the last minute ability to switch from Dark to Light, light to dark,  during the conversation with Bastila ~ WTF? Now Bastila, HK-47 and  Mission Vao are still some of my favorite characters from any game, so I still like KOTOR. There are also some nice mods that allowed you to turn people, kind of ~ so it still ranks rather high on my list.

The original Neverwinter Nights is still hands-down the worst Bioware game I ever played.

Dragon Age: Origins is the most disappointing Bioware game I ever played. (which is a title that used to be held by Neverwinter Nights) Admittedly, I had set the bar rather high... I built a new computer so I could play the PC version, and then replayed a good portion of both The Witcher and Baldur's Gate 2 (with a little detour into Planescape: Torment) while waiting for DAO to come out. That was... a mistake. No game could possibly stack up against that.

Dragon Age 2 would probably have been a crushing disappointment for me if I'd actually liked DA:O and expected a successor, but I expected DA2 to be awful, and was... well, I can't quite say I was pleasantly surprised, but it proved to be an above-average RPG with (relatively) rich character interaction.
