I went through this list and got all the qunari swords: http://dragonage.wik...The_Lost_Swords

went back to the guy, told him I didn't want any reward, got a ton of EXP and levelled up, no sword.. speak to him again and he just asks me for more swords, are there more than there are on that list? I went back and checked every one and i've got them all so either i'm missing one or it's bugged :|

There are 10 swords, i havent had this problem. I gave him the swords, got rewarded ,n he left....

you got the one in the locked chest that was Master-ranked, correct?

I did however get like 2-3 of them, then I went to talk to him and gave him them, I asked for no reward, and then I went out and collected the rest.. could it be doing it that way screwed it up somehow? damnit! I really wanted to upgrade my weapon

Yep, I think that's where the quest derailed. You have to give him all the swords at once and then decline the reward.

Are you too far along in the game to load a saved game before you started the sword quest?

I feel your pain, amigo. I spent one evening running everywhere looking for the Enasalin chestpiece for the rogue, only to find that it drops only if you start a fight at the Hanged Man during the "Offered and Lost" quest. 

I had Aveline resolve it quietly. That'll teach me to play peacemaker.

Mine did the same thing. the quest definitely got bugged. i got all he swords before even turning one in and it just gave me the exp.after denying the money. i bought the rogue pack anyway so i have awesome swords but i rele wanted this one. Feel for you girl.

Tell me if this is normal.. my rogue Hawke is an archer, and I completed the quest correctly. When I turned in the last sword for my reward weapon, he gave me the dagger.. not the bow. Has this happend to anyone else? I mean with given the wrong weapon.

did you have daggers equipped when you first talked to him?

You can deliver them one at a time or all at once it doesn't make a difference. Chances are you have forgotten one of the swords on the list.

A second voice here for it not making a difference how many you turn in at once. I declined the money when I turned in the first sword, took some sweet time getting the rest to him--whenever I found them, so one or two at a time and got some XP every time. Quest completed on the 10th, no problem.

No, I had a bow equipped, and I turned in all the swords from all locations. The only thing that I can think of why I didn't get the bow is, I don't have any talent points in Archery. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I don't have any in DW either so.. I don't really know what to think lol.
