Fine. Go away, take all the like minded folk with you, keep piloting generic heroes, fighting generic evils, with guaranteed heroic happy endings ™.
Just go far enough away so us roleplayers don't need to hear your whining anymore, and bioware can focus on making continuously better games. Deal?

Some people don't like epics, those people should pine for non epic games, not seek to change games that were billed as epics and turn into something else.

There are many games that fit what you want, why does dragon age have to be all things to all people?  I feel like they chose you over me.  I like epics, they are not new, human civilization has been around for thousands of years, most things are not new, but if done well it can still be enjoyable, and some people prefer the larger than life stories and settings.  If you don't, why can't YOU go elsewhere?  Why do you have to contaminate MY meal?  I get it, you like beefjerky more than steak, you think too many people try to make great steak, fine, eat your beef jerky, but leave my effing meal alone please.

And that is my biggest gripe with the direction of dragon age 2.  The original was a pc game made to work on consoles.  The new one seems like the reverse.  Mass effect was a console focused game from the start, and I enjoyed it a great deal for what it was, now they are changing a thing I already liked and enjoyed to try and tap into those who never got with the first.

I don't care about the people who dropped the original because they could not handle an inventory, let them go, or try to get them and lose me.  No free roaming camera?  why?  If this was design focused on the pc that would NOT have been limited.  Go look at the reviews on the pc and console on amazon, the reviews are flipped from what they were for the original.  The pc players expected more and got less.  You like less, good for you, but understand I hate what the drive to appeal to You has done to my enjoyment.

Well your colors are started to appear, huh?

Seriously, dude? You aren't really helping your credibility here. All of the statements you have just mentioned have absolutely nothing to do with your original post, so please everyone, get back on topic.

This was an EPIC MOMENT in the story. I could tell those guys were good at fighting, but I didn't believe they were Grey Wardens. Maybe I liked the story, I found it to be epic in itself, so I didn't feel the need to join them. I actually wanted them to help me.

But yeah, I was sad that they had to go.

Some people have seen so many "epics" that "epic" just isn't all that epic anymore.

I was much more interested in the various subplots and the conflict with Loghain during Origins than I was with the actual Blight, personally.

Thank the maker the blight conveniently set camp at lothering, and the Archdemon was all "whenever you're ready mate" and went on a few month of vacation

I didn't feel bad for them going. It was not their town, not their fight. They have an oath to keep which had nothing to do with this situation. I was curious and would have liked to hear more, but I wouldn't have apprecited them meddling in my affairs either.

You live in Kirkwall for years, you make a life here, you have family, friends, people who work for you or whom you work for. This is your life and the Qunary just crush it (wether their action is valid or not). I don't see why it would be Warden business at all.

Admittedly I prefer Hawke to the Warden.

Agreed! The Wardens are pretty busy as it is. Come Dragon Age 3, expect a lot of Wardens dealing with that Orlais thing...;)

I bet it's DLC, as I too was wanting to join up with the Wardens.

It's not DLC.  If you take your sibling to the Deep Roads(with Anders in party) then the sibling can join the Wardens.  They're in that scene.

Also if Alistair stayed with the wardens then he is in there, I think he is the leader.

When Anders told me he had to give Ser Pounce A Lot away. I had a tear. It's like taking Boo away from Minsk. You can't do that!

Probably why he went off the deep end.

I find that both stories have epic qualities and if you don't see them, it's because you're not looking right.

Cruelest part of the game was when I saw the credits roll. The it dawned on me that I paid $60 for half a game. The only time in the game where I was afflicted with emotions of great loss. I wish i could have that $60 back woth me. We had such great times together until DA2 came along :(
