I was wondering. Does the Pride demon during this quest (Merrill's companion quest from Act 3) count towards the Demon Slayer achievement? Or is the achievement bugged?

Nope that demon isn't Hybris. you fight Hybris in a quest called the Awagian(dear god i have no idea how to spell that) Scrolls.

No. You get the Demon Slayer achievement by completing the 3 Awiergan Scrolls quest, finding the Hidden Dungeon, and defeating Hybris.
the Pride Demon from 'A New Path' does not figure into the achievement.

No, there's a seperate quest. (It's a side quest). This particular Pride demon is special.
