Personally, I think the survey conducted in the General Discussion forum gets some better details around the overall rating you are attempting to track in this thread.
You can take the survey here: www.kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php
The results are here: www.kwiksurveys.com/results-overview.php

It is interesting that its often thrown about that 'everyone knows this was a let down' and other similar comments, when so far it would paint the picture that actualy the majority are pleased.
Allthough one thing to bear in mind this is only the views of us folk who post on these forums, and this specific subforum, so is NOT an overall picture, just a picture of this perticular community.
I would also think that generaly folk who bother to post on here are in some way fans on the seriesor developer. Casual gamers (rightly or wrongly) I wouldnt expect to spend as much time here as alot of us do, so the lower votes do still speak volumes, despite their apparent minority.
One thing we can safely say is - it is not a 4 or 5 out of 10 game.
No, all you can say is that the enjoyment levels are higher. On say
metacritic people docked it for bugs, story, replayability. This is an
emotions poll.
Me well...since they touted it as the sequel and
to ask me to not compare it to DAO is disingenious.
DAO 10/10 for
enjoyment and may playthroughs(on hubby's stolen account before I got my
own with the Deluxe package. I think he bought it for me so he could have his back.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]).
DA2 gets docked on my enjoy o' meter for the let down of crappy reused dungeons, becoming a button masher with hack and slash,
with most of it's RPG and the elements that made DAO so fun stripped like Salome's dance of the seven veils.
It gets
docked for boss fights with too much HP and the feeling when fighting
them is tedious (if it weren't for me running in circles to the Benny Hill theme song, which makes it go up a half a point) and doing mindless side quests thus becoming a game of doing chores. It gets docked for a disjointed story line and for making Act 2 feel like it should have been Act 3! However, on that note, Act 2 was very fun indeed (save the stupid repitition of places) so it went up in points. Overall, this is only replayable once, if that for me.
Oh and it gets docked for being a shoddy, side story, rushed DLC feel to it. From any other company this would be a 6. From a company like BioWare...that made my enjoyment go down faster than Isabela's thong.
DA2...4.5

Dragon Age: Hawke does Stuff..
Fedex rates it as 10 /10 "I really enjoyed this game, it was so much like work!" - Driver.
UPS rates it as 8/10 "It was a really good delivery system, but I feel it catered too much to the FedEx crowd" - Shift Supervisor.

No offense... but if you reach any further you're liable to pull something major. At least do some stretches first. =P

This is my "enjoy-O-meter" though and not my overall rating of the game.
Minus points for :
- Recycled to death areas.
- Waves "TM" battles.
- Average story.
- Copy & paste to everything.
- Bugs.

Yep this is your 2nd time posting scores in there and 1232465461321st time bringing DAO up along with DA2 to show your brand of DAO "appreciation"(it was a 7-8 now it is a hard 7).

OMG the audacity!!! It jumps between 7-8/10 for Origins.
Not a bad rating. Must it be a 9 or 10/10 to be "appreciation"? <_<
