Could have easily been a 10 with a little more work.

Despite it's faults it's still more fun to play second by second than DA:0. Everything in Origin's from the dialogue to combat and inventory took to long.
Faults. A 10 is a perfect score. If you admit the game has faults, that means it is at most a 9 (or a 9.5). Your score is wrong if you say it has faults.

Setting aside comparisons to the first game, I can give it a 5.

To give it more feels like i would insult how much fun i have had with other games.

To resonate with what some people have allready said, I (personaly) would never give a game a 10/10 rating. To give a game 100% insinuates that it was perfect, and even my most favorite games of all time had SOMETHING that needed to be improved on. However minor that may be it will still stop any game from being 'perfect'.
But these are peoples personal opinions and nothing is wrong
this is just my view on the '10/10' rating.

My sentiments exactly. No game should ever be able to achieve a "10", since that level of perfection would be unattainable (9 yes.. or even 9.5), but then I'm one of the few who considers "5" average as opposed to the industry inflated "7".

if ten is unattainable, lets have it out of 9

Posté 21 mars 2011 - 12:33
Then that would make 9 unattainable, what have you solved?
Its not the number itself that is the issue, its saying that a game literaly had no areas to improve on.
And again i stress, this is my personal opinion on the subject, if you want to give it 10 then be my guest

Yes ill give you that, in terms of enjoyment it would be easier to obtain 100% than maybe from a technical point of view.
I still personaly find it hard to believe though that nothing in a game would lower your enjoyment at any point. But maybe im just more critical of my games! Maybe its a silly placed checkpoint, or an overpowered gun, or a map id rather not play, or a team mate who does something stupid that makes my job harder.... theres usualy something that will bring me down from 100% enjoyment, which less face it, 100%, 10/10 for enjoyment, your talking pure gaming bliss! I find it hard to think of any game that has achieved pure gaming bliss!
