WoW is not revolutionary. Merely evolutionary. And, for the record, those other MMO's that WoW was supposed to "kill" are still around, and still releasing content and expansions.
The gaming industry has always had a habit of borrowing ideas that work from other games, just as novelists, scriptwriters and pretty much everyone else does.
My point: Play the games you like, don't play the ones you don't, and quit ****ing about what other people like or don't like.

Owh and WoW sucks donkey balls, baffles me why so many people play it. It is utterly boring... I am overjoyed there are also interesting games like BG2, DDO and DA:O

trust me, everyone understands the idiocy of what you were attempting. it's not a real argument, its a fallacy, you delivered it in a stupid and offensive way. I really hope you don't think you were being clever.
Either you got slammed in the face with the moron stick or you have aspergers.
LOL
You win the Internet for today my good sir!

On a side note. It has taken me many hours to not spam my space button in DAO while running around... that habit has been replaced with holding the tab button down all the time
Never happened to me. No sir. Not I.

After learning about the miracle tab button, I press that like every 3 seconds. Part of me wish I never knew... :`(

Tab is definitely a thing of beauty. In fact, remember that game we used to play as children where you weren't allowed to step on the joins between tiles? (and the other, possibly more popular alternative of ONLY stepping on them). Well, just replace that with not being allowed to take your finger off the tab button...it makes successfully moving the camera THAT much more satisfying

Did you even read the thread? Or is your e-peen so desperate for attention that you just shove your copy-paste drivel down the throats of even irrelevant topics? Get over yourself and at least go through the motions of arguing a point.

You know, from reading these forums, you'd never guess that WoW is the most popular RPG in history. I wander what Blizzard got right with that game. It can't be the story.
Maybe it's the mechanics. Maybe it's the fact that melee classes are actually fun and powerful. Maybe it's the fact that the developers strive for class balance. Nah! Must just be a coincidence.
its becasue it is a game any moron can pick up and play, i have fixed PC's for 55 year old moms playing wow, never played a game in their life. It s a MMORPG for dummies, its not that good, news flash. its a casual gamers game.
Maybe it is now but clearly you never raided pre TBC. Maximising characters DPS, threat or Healing is not exactly for a casual gamer. I understand many wouldn't have done this but my guild and i did and that is why we were the top of our server for a long time. Infact we put so much time into that it was practically a second job.
Then i don't think many of you have known the enjoyment of learning a boss fight with 39 of your guildmates and after hours upon hours of wipes eventually downing said boss. A great feeling. Now, i'm getting nostalgic for a game that has made "end game" easy mode and accesible to anyone regardless of their knowledge of the game.
I agree now they have made it so simple a trained monkey could do it.

WoW has areas in both pve and pvp that are swarmed with very very hardcore gamers.
