i havent found a way to avoid the hits by stealthed assassins. is there one?

my squishy characters keep knocked back over and over and over again, what fortitude do i need to prevent this.

The trouble is that you're going to need a lot more fortitude than your squishy characters can reasonably get, so you need to just keep them out of the way of such stuff. As for stealthed assassins, people say glyphs do the job. Also, if you can figure out about where they are, you can drop AOE on them to knock them out of stealth.
