I did scroll 2 and then scroll 3, and then went off to find scroll 1 and it was not where it should be, and thus I can't complete the quest, it's in my journal just saying "search for the last scroll and hidden lair to reveal an ancient evil"
but it seems doing them out of "order" screws it up and makes it impossible to finish.

I have the same issue, although I did scrolls 1 and 3. The weird thing is that I DO see on my map "hidden lair" for both sites on Sundermount, but I don't have scroll 2 (I see a scroll on the ground near the entrance to the Dailish camp, but I can't pick it up). The finale by Anders doesn't open for me.

I had to load an old save and then I did it in the order 1-3-2 (you have to do 3 before 2 because it's lower down the mountain path and you get ambushed by the monsters). managed to do them all then beat the final boss and get the trophy. definitely bugged in some way though.
