EDIT: also, i know about the one for ogres - i'm asking if there is a specific ability on kill that triggers it
also asking if there are regular finishers in game, as seen in the screenshot above, or if they got removed at some point (or are only in one little cutscene or something)

I actually thought the same thing. Those cinematics are seriously awkward. Its like this tiny tiny knife in the middle of the back seemingly placed at random.

I understand they do that so the wound is out of shot, which makes the cinematics simpler (no blood), but you could do the same with a throat cut shot from behind.
