Kinda sucky. 
I bumped into Leliana while doing Sebastian's quest and asked her if she was the Leliana that blah-blah.  And she only mentions that she did accompany the Warden and that's it.
Seemed a bit disappointing to me.

I did a full playthrough of the Ultimate Edition: Origins -> Awakening -> Golems -> Witch Hunt.  I guess the romance got lost in translation somewhere along that chain.

There is a remark about the warden and her however the importing is quite buggy.

I guess her sweet, loving personality also got lost in translation. She's a ****ing evil ****.

Or she was playing you from the start in DA:O. Which given much of her personality wouldn't be so surprising.

Apparently, she doesn't stay dead either if you killed her in DAO.

She mentioned writing a song about the time she spent with my Warden, which I assumed was an offhanded remark for the romance. I guess she was supposed to say more? Also kinda bummed that she split from my Warden, part of the reason he (RP mode engage) took advantage of Morrigan's Dark Ritual was to buy more time in the land of the living with Leliana.

I read on the Wiki that some players have had her say something like the Warden is 'very close to her heart" when you ask if she was THE Leliana, etc.

I'm pretty sure the romance was fine when I ended Origins, I got the letter from her in Awakening. The import just didn't catch everything, I guess.

The game does have a few bugs, hopefully they get squashed with patches.

There are a lot of bugs regarding retcon in DA2.

Let's not forget all they choices that were possible in DA:O. Romance Morrigan, kill Leliani' execute Loghain, kill Zevran, etc, etc etc

Subtlety is possible. Just some moments of reminsincing and missing her love. Perhaps the Warden disappeared on some great quest... that will be Dragon Age 3!

Wierd. My character romanced Leliana but it wasn't referenced in the DLC.

There's also a bit where she and Isabela recognize each other if had the threesome at the Pearl.

Its a well-known bug. If you import anything other than just an Origins save, like Awakening or Witch Hunt, she won't have the proper dialogue when speaking about the Warden.

She is supposed to say that warden is "dear to her heart"
