Finished the Circle Tower.  First playthrough I sided with the Mages, this time I killed Uldred, walked Irving down the stairs, and spoke to Greagoir.

I didn't say to execute the mages, but I did say they needed to be investigated.  Irving surrendered himself to the Chantry, etc. etc.

In my log on Irving, it says he died during the events in the Tower.  Is this a glitch, as it sounds like this is for if I killed Wynne to get by and kill ALL the mages in the tower, whereas in this scenario Irving just says he won't fight the Chantry's investigative efforts.

Or is it assumed that they execute him?

Hmmm. Either way, he's gone. I don't reckon the chantry's giving him a backrub. Good as dead. May be a journal bug. Quest wise, you won;t have his help in redcliffe. Thats all.
