i didnt want to monkey around too much with changing INFs and what not so i went to guru3d site to see what i could find out on my own.
usually i only download drivers from nvidia.com when theyre officially out of beta. sometimes i will DL beta if told to for a new game.
i was using the march 1st beta drivers for geforce 260gtx with vista 32bit and i was getting the dialogue crash/freeze.
it was happening a little at launch and got worse. it was about 2-3 times every hour.
so i went to guru3d and found a 267.46 drivers version as opposed to nvidias 267.24 beta i was using and crashing with.
so i used the drivers for at least 4 hours yesterday with NO crashes or freezing. so if any of you were having an issue similar to mine this may work for you. i also noticed that many of the other posters here said that the drivers they downloaded were having a big increase in their FPS, but for mine it may have helped for 5-10FPS at most but its been VERY stable. i have everything maxed that my OS and card allow, i just turn down AA from x8 to x4. im using high GFX, dx11 and x16AS.
now i saw the new patch that came out today, it seems like it has little to do with me and now i'm affraid to even use it because i finally got the game to run much better, should i even install this? have any of you installed this that WERENT having the issues in the notes?
cheers and i hope this helps you guys.
