So the 1.01 patch came out recently and I decided to install it and it seemed to work fine right up to the point when I went to high town to talk to Bartrand to get the Deep Roads expedition quest. All of a sudden the audio started stuttering and the FPS went way down, more than usual. Before the patch I had it working really well thanks to those Nvidia beta drivers. I mean isn't a patch supposed to make things better and not worse.
