Also I agree the Ancient Rock Wraith of course and the Nexus Golem fight are 2 tough ones. I don't think I've did the other fights yet.

-The second awiergan scroll (the two named revenants and named skeleton) I never did beat.
-Soloing the arishock with a mage is either very very difficult or very very boring.
-The fight with the Templar in the sewers (Ser Varnell ?) with multiple waves of fanatics was probably the most exciting fight I ever had in a RPG.

Agreed. On Nightmare the revenants will one-shot random party members with his hand blast thing, and it never targets your tank. If it hit Merrill, she'd survive, but for Varric or Anders it was always a deathblow. And there are two of them.
The only way I finally beat it was to use line of sight exploits to very carefully pull the group one at a time. Even then, if Anders went down I had to restart.
And the reason you've never heard of Hybris is because he's the final boss of that quest chain.

Beating him on an aoe mage was a definite pain in the arse.
Probably because I wasn't playing on Nightmare normally, just wanted to get a really hard duel - Oh, I got it.
Xebenkeck... Xebenkeck... hm, somehow I've missed that fight, I have to look it up.

And Rock boss (end of act 1) without tanking class.

My problem with is: the AI not moving fast enough out of the blue circle, Playing on Nightmare makes the adds 1k times more of a pain in the ****, and they spawn and instantly go for the squishiest thing they see.AsaTJ wrote...
I'd hesitate to put Hybris at the most difficult fights in the game. Stay out of the blue circle, kill the adds fast. That's all there really is to it. If you're having trouble, it's due to a lack of damage and not killing the adds fast enough. Once he's alone, he's a huge pushover.

I used petrify, then I hit him with firestorm, fireball, and stone fist. Took way too long though.Deturis90 wrote...

I cleared the fight on Nightmare, it's basically the same as Hard considering I rely on Chain Lightning CCC for most of my minion kills and it's not even an AoE. (Seriously, if you're playing on Nightmare and not using Chain Lightning.... you're doing it wrong.) It's a pain, but if you unpause and then issue the move order, they will get the point. Sometimes I had to just spam right click, but I was only too slow once, and even then I got 3/4 out of the way.
At that point it's mainly an issue of killing the thing closest to your squishies first, and then fanning out from there. The rage demons are a real pain, but since they don't have an uber backstab, you can usually save them until last unless they're really persistent on attacking your weakest member.

I think he means the fight in the room in the Hidden Dungeon with the Nexus Golem Merchant and Evil Tome.
You get swarmed by like 30 enemies. Its insane, they keep coming.

Rogue Hawke, Merill, Anders, Fenris
1st: Rock Wraith (for that level its a bit over the top)
2nd: Xebenkeck (before i figured out that fighting in the room is suicide)
3rd: Second Awergan Scroll (they mowed down Fenris in 2-3 hits)
4th: High Dragon (with a range party he's cake but with 75% of my dmg being melee it took some creativity)
5th: Any fight with 2 Saarebas, they literally 1-2 shot the entire party.

I beat Xebenkeck on my first try, but it was far from glorious. I didn't realize how many enemies spawned, my team went down except for my main character (2h warrior berserker), so I charged out of the room towards the entrance. Only so many enemies followed me and I was able to (with the aid of my dog) take them down one or two at a time.

Agreed...What is that lighting spell they use? Do mages have that spell?
It's like the lighting version of force magic tree.

#1 The room where the golem merchant is, the waves for that were ridiculous and I couldn't manage to pull a small amount into the corridor.
#2 The Pride Demon, blood mage, and trillions of shades in the final mission destroyed me without a healer... and for some reason I brought Isabela along instead of Varric
Last three are a tie between Meredith, Rock Wraith and High Dragon, none of which were particularly difficulty, just tedious.

I'm nowhere near and in a perfectly reasonable angle to avoid getting hit, but noooo. That fight is cheap, not hard.
Xebenkeck, The 2 Revenant dudes, Guard Pretender base, High Dragon, Nexus Golem Room
Edit: I'll mention the first Templar encounter during Anders' personal quest aswell, that one required a spectacular abuse of the enemy AI to get done, and you are fairly low level around that.
