Anyone found it a little hard to truly connect with your family?

I was hoping that when Carver/Bethany dies, mother would first stay calm, try to wake him/her, then as Aveline explains their death, mother would scream in anguish and jerk their bodies harder in a futile attempt to wake them while Hawke or the other sibling pulls screaming mother away and hugs her in comfort or something

The mother death scene was also lacking...they should have made Hawke roar in rage, and after the enemies were dead and he/she was comforting mother, begin to weep with the shoulders trembling. The quest should then end in a wake or funeral for mother.

The death of Viscount's son was done well, when I saw how the viscount sobbed and his shoulders jerked, I actually felt really sorry for him.

It's not that I do not appreciate the family touch, I was glad when even a year after Carver's death, Bethany was still unable to truly let go, and we siblings comforted each other.

Not emotial enough. This is an eye of the beholder ideal. When Hawke mother died I felt soul less, like I died. I just wanted her back and killing the lady killer would never make me feel better. I was very depressed during the last half of the game.
