I just finished my primary, pro-mage playthrough and now want to replay as a douchey racist pro-templar. My question is if I don't play a mage, will my sister die in a result of this?

If you're not a mage, Carver dies at the beginning and Bethany joins your team. If you take her to the Deep Roads without Anders in your party as well, I've heard she will die. I'm not sure whose side she will take at the end if you side with the Templars, as I only played through once and sided with the mages.
