I thought it would be a cool idea if Morigan's old god baby will be the next playable character. But that idea went out the window once Morigan pointed out it's a boy.

Hawke will be the main guy in an expansion like DAO I think. No doubt DA3 will have a brand new protagonist. The warden and Hawke missing means someone new is stepping in.

Hawke is only human, i prefer to play as a fantastical race like the Elves and Dwaves and maybe they should add Qunari.

I liked fantasy games letting us choose race and was disappointed when bioware forced us to be human making it more like Mass Effect, not saying ME is bad but DA is meant to be a different game.

Hoping that they give us the freedom to choose what race we want to be that's all.

If you don't get to choose race, I will not buy it.  I have no interest in playing David Gaider's flat protagonist again.

Idea was dead from the start for me because the child would be human or half human and not everyone took morrigans offer so in some peoples saves he does not exist.

I prefer an unknown hero just bioware better let us choose our race again, they think everyone wants to play a fantasy RPG just to be a human?

Neither, a seeker of the chantry will be the hero.

It better not be. The chantry sucks. It's the dark ages inquisiton church. How can anyone serve something like that and NOT be an ****? I don't play games to pretend to be an ****.

This. If I wanted to play Mass Effect I'd play Mass Effect. All games do not need to be Mass Effect clones, Bioware.

Wouldn't mind Hawke again, but it would be easier for creativity with a new protagonist.

Yeah. I'm gonna hope we continue with Hawke. I'd go insane if I didn't have the opportunity to get some closure on his story. At least I could kill my Warden and have a satisfying end to his story. Hawke is up in the air.. damnit.

New character or a reunion with the Hero from Origins. I do like the idea of Quinari in DA III. If its a new character I do think playing morgans child would probably be the most BA if they could spin it in there. Playing as an old god would be something unheard of in their time and would most definitely give a feel like you're pioneering new capabilities in the game.

I think it would be quite interesting if you play as a new protege of Flemeth in DA3 and get to do a bunch of interesting "behind the scenes" type stuff.

I have a feeling Flemeth in the last game or when ever is going to be the main evil character, so i believe each of the main protagonists in each game will probably be guided by her for some ultimate conclusion.

After Origins I wanted to play as someone new in the next game. After DAII I want to continue as Hawke. I just feel more attached to Hawke I guess.

Playing as the same person is a great way to increase Immersion. Though many think it'll be a different character. I wouldn't like that as much. But you can't please everyone.

As fun as DA2 was, I did not feel as attached to Hawke so I would not be bothered if it was not Hawke in DA3. I kinda hope we will get to play as Bob the Awakened Darkspawn! XD

Already? If you'd asked this about DA2 less than a month after Origins launched I imagine most of us would've just said "the Warden" and look how that turned out. Well.. you know, if it weren't possible for the warden to die at the end of Origins, that is. The point is it's far too early to speculate, we don't even know if Hawke's story will conclude in an expansion, dlc or just be left open like the Warden's. We didn't even know the Warden's story was just going to be left open after Origins until just before Witch Hunt released and they said "Oh yeah, and this is the last thing we'll be doing with Origins. Next stop: DA2!".
