Rune of Valiance for armor.

Primeval rune for weapon.

I think the best runes are the Rune of Devastation, which adds 10% damage to all attacks and the Primeval Lyruim Rune, which adds attack speed.

Rune of Valiance and Devastation is in Act 3 (Valiance is in Sundermount, for example).

Keep in mind you can only have one of those in your armor/weapon (and the effects on multiple pieces of armor do not count).

Primeval Lyrium Rune is fantastic, but you can only get one, and you can only apply it once, like every other weapon.

Runes of Protection are, overall, the best runes for armor.

I like to save up gold sovereigns and then spend them on expensive items for my character, so personally I would say stick rune of fortune in every armour slot (each one an extra +5% increase in money dropped?) for both you and your party members. I don't know if there is a cap or if you can eventually double your income, but the game i still doable on hard mode like this. Once you get the +xx attribute rune then stick one on each of your characters but this is end game. Think of all the LEWT you can get with all that cash!!
