The only thing I don't like about the elves is the weird way lots of the male elves are all hunched over while idling, including Fenris.

I liked how elves looked in DA2, they need to look different! I also posted way back a concept of my own how elves should look and it was just as I had imagined. Qunari were perfect! little more variety wouldnt kill but I loved how they werent just crumpy humans.
Keep everything of these new changes on models but just make them look better

Well, to be honest elves arn't wood people, most of the ruined cities in Thedas are Elven, they were here first. Much like native Americans, but with cities, then the humans came and much like the europeans screwed um over. Also I don't remember them having glowy eyes or being all spindaly in the Stolen Thrown or the other book, I could be wrong I need to reread them. They also went to D&D with it in making some of them androgenous, the tranny elf in the brothal was not funny, not even a little bit, not even at all.

With the image you posted, if that's the worst there is, it still isn't bad. Certainly not as bad as some of the humans. I'm thinking of... Tahlone?... in the missing brother quest. The problem is bad makeup choices, not necessarily bone structure. Besides, does anyone remember Namaya from Awakenings? It was possible to create some ugly elves with the old design, too.

Don't mind the elves too much but the fact that there are no hornless Qunari annoys me a little. Also something i feel the need to ask is: Why don't the qunari like armour now?

Most of the changes in the elves were fine, but...those ears?!?!?!

I think that elves shouldn't look like short humans, but DA2 doesn't handle them well, either. They have tiny hips and larger torsos. Elves are supposed to be graceful and quick. I don't think that that body plan would lend itself to grace and quickness. Fenris looks alright, but he's got a different model from all of the other elves and his model is better designed.

I actually think that the new ears were an improvement, though. Before, they were too close to the head and not very large. They are now more like traditional elf ears.

I also miss female dwarves. My favorite playthrough of DA:O was with a female dwarf rogue. I'm willing to accept that players can only be human in DA2, but there needs to be more variety in NPCs.

To be honest...i didnt like any of the redesigns..Posted Image

I mean, in Origins Sten looked like a badass mofo you did NOT want to mess around with...now the Qunari look like barbaric goat people who just crawled out of a cave! I read somewhere they look more like the ogres now which are made/spawned from them...but Genlocks didnt look like dwarves except for the size, Shieks didnt look like elves...so i dont really see the point in this redesign..

Elves now look like they'll break in two when you look at them..and whats with the oversized ears?? Its like their looks want to scream  "HEY! LOOK!! I'M AN ELF!!"...I KNOW!!

And the Darkspawn changed from creatures i might actually fear, into someone with a bad Halloween costume...and where did the genlocks and shieks go?? Did they just vanish?? Guess my warden did a good job then! Posted Image

I love the redesigned races, they feel much more distinctive than normal people, short people, medium-height people with pointy ears and tall people with grey skin. One of the best things they've done to the lore IMO.

EDIT: I do agree on the elf thing though. First thing I thought when I saw an elf was "wow, why did they model them on Navi". After 10 minutes of ridding Avatar from my mind, I went back to the game and decided I really like the change.

I don't like any of the redesigns, except maybe the Qunari. Even so, I don't remember seeing any Tal'Vashoth that didn't have horns.... I could be wrong about that.

I guess it's just the art style or something with the Dwarves, but they don't look right at all. Elves and Darkspawn? That's just way out of bounds... very bad decision to make elves look like so weird. All the deer, mouse, and avatar comparisons are spot on.

Love the Qunari design, but I intensely dislike the changes made to Elves. They look like aliens crossed with Na'vi. I do appreciate the fact that BioWare tried to do something different with them, it just came out rather disturbing, as far as I'm concerned.

Dwarves looked pretty much the same, and I'm ok(ish) with the Darkspawn.

The Dwarves don't look any diffrent to me.

The Elves are 50/50. Some look great and some ar a but meh. Overall though I quite like the new design.

The new Darkspawn are awful if you ask me.

And the the Qunari are so damn bad-ass now! Love the new look.

I loved the new look for the elves. Yes, there were a couple of ugly elves in the game, but most of them took to the new look really well. ^^

The Qunari redesign really bothered me, as I quite liked Sten in Origins. The new Qunari look cool, but can't we just say they are a different race?

What's the point of including other races if they're indistinguishable from humans? Regardless of whether or not the new elf design looks appealing, I'm glad that Bioware tried to set them apart more from the humans (and personally, I don't mind the new look at all).

If they are going to make elves look like this then they need to just give them a different name,

I hated the elves when I first saw them, but now I kind of like them.

Don't get me wrong, som look horrible and I think they went a little overboard on the changes.
Give the elves a little more weight (so they look lean, not anorectic) and reduce the noses a bit.

Merril and Fenris looks good, but most of the other elves looks like.... Klingons? Descendants of Rhinos?

I don't know if I'm imagining this, but I thought the dalish's noses looked much better than city elves, it might be that their tattoos somehow gave them better symmetry.

The qunari look awesome. The elves are 50/50 for me. Some look great while some don't. Actually what really bugged me was the inconsistency - if this is the look that they wanted for the elves and the qunari from the very beginning they should've done that in Origins. It's kind of like... changing the look of the aliens in the middle of the Mass Effect series (E.g., "The Asari look too human, let's change their look in ME2!"). Meaning, we already have this idea how the other species look from Origins and to change them dramatically in DA2 is just a bit unsettling.

Hm. I didn't even notice that the dwarves had changed. I do like the re-design of the elves and qunari, though. It always bugged me a little that my elven warden was essentially indistinguishable from a human (take a look at my avatar to see what I mean). As or the qunari, I didn't even pick up on the fact that Sten was non-human! I always thought that he was just from a different part of the world, with a different culture and look. So the re-designs work for me. Elves and qunari no longer look human and that's a good thing.

Quick edit: One other point. Between Eve Myles VO work and her ingame appearance, Merrill is an absolute cutie-pie!
