Much like someone figured out how to skip Ostagar, I would really like to be able to skip the exaggerated intro to get right to the CC.

You can do this using runscript zz_dae_debug in the console, Type that into the console then go

Plot Jump > Core/Critical Path > Prologue > Jump to Real Blightlands.

That takes you to the character creator.

I usually find the exaggerated portion is so brief (especially as a mage or warrior) that it's largely unnecessary to skip it. As a rogue it can take a bit longer, but not enough to bother me. Not like, say, Ostagar or something.

The fact I have to use default Hawke is what bothered me the most, but I manage to fix that already with a bit of work. here

Be careful, I was reading that the first personality choice in the opening "sets" your personality in act one. So if you say something nice, your nice, if you say something snarky, you become snarky, and if you say something blut and evil your blunt and evil.
