There seem to be alot of hints that Varric was lying about Isabela a fair bit.

Like the fact that the Origins Isabela is what she really looked and acted like. Since that was through the eyes of the warden; aka you

Wheras Varric tells her as being a dusky hawt pirate with DD cups that dresses like a ****, has no 'adult' sense and tries to bed the entire party. Also frequently hits on Varric.

So does that seem like accurate retelling of varric playing to his own ego? I mean Bela was fairly serious and level headed in Origins..

On a side note you know this 'narrated tale' is bull**** so that Bioware arn't commited to anything that happened in the game at all? They can turn around in DA3 and say 'none of it happened, Varric and the Seeker were high at the time and making it all up'

no no no.
you're reading too deep into it. isabella was an extra character in origins. she wasnt written initially to be a major character in the series. same with merril.

they were rewritten (retconned) to be major characters so they were altered and changed to fit with DA2 better. rather than making new characters no one was familiar with for DA2 they used some super minor characters and expanded them to be fully fledged characters rather than side NPC's with a couple lines of dialogue.

the DA2 version of isabella is the real isabella. just like the DA2 version of merril is the real merril. so assume the DA:O version of isabella is her on a timid day instead.

edited: ah your edit made me realize this is a troll topic, nevermind. go be bitter elsewhere.
