yes, the forbidden lore boss was hardAdds.... so many adds.... They never stopped coming...
*breaks down and cry*
Similar to the act three pride demon from avergian scrolls then. God, the number of adds there was frustrating.
On topic - ARW. Had two mages on constant healing duty for the fight in case someone didn't make it in time behind pillars. Took forever cause of that, though

Meredith for me, I loved how she woulr jump up so high and the effects for when she landed were awesome as well. I just hate that if it wasn't for the idol, we wouldn't have necessarily had a reason to kill, I really think they should have made it where if you took the Mage's side you'd fight Meredith, picked the templars fight Orsino, and if you chose Hawke's side the. yes you'd possibpy fight both depending on your choices.
They probably didn't want to do it because it would have been "too much choice", they didn't want to have to program it for the next game since it was the most important part of the story.

I really thought the final boss ( Meredith ) was cool. It which may not be a popular choice, but I liked how the statues from the surrounding area intervened in the fight. It was incredibly easy, but I thought it was the most unique and somewhat original battle in the game.
Outside of that I would say Hybris was awesome simply because I found it to be the only 'challenging' battle outside of the Ancient Rock Wrath. The High Dragon was commendable as well for being challenging.
Overall I think this is a great topic because the game excels in 3 areas IMO.. Graphics, combat engine, and possibly some of the best boss fights I've ever done. I thought the boss fights made up for the sheer repetitiveness of the surroundings, the lack of any clear story or specific enemy, and dull companions compared to it's predecessor. Where Origins shined, II did not and vise-versa.

Hm... I can't decide between the Ancient Rock Wraith, Hybris, and the High Dragon. They were all great in their own way. The Wraith because somehow my mage and Varric managed to defeat it when Carver and Anders died, leaving 80% of it's health... Hybris was ridiculous until I figured out how to fight him, but even so, the rage demons and shades added a lot of excitement... and the High Dragon... that was just such a brutal fight. It kept owning Fenris, but I needed him alive for the lesser dragons, so I had to pull him back every round and stick with Rally. Heh... one heck of a great fight, especially when it was nearly over and I realized we should have bought a couple more potions. It worked out in the end, though.
Going on record as saying the combat was, IMO, the best part of DA2.
