The honest truth from DSP.

I may not feel quite as strong as he does, but I agree with him.

It was a cliff hangers. Cliff hangers are always terrible endings because sometimes they're not resolved.

Nope, one of the very best endings in any videogame I've ever played.

The epilogue was a let down.

The ending was not.

He's also flat wrong.
At best it could be argued that you don't know who Leliana is unless you get the Sebastian DLC. You absolutely do not have to play origins to learn more about her though.
Also, she's not important. She's just another seeker saying she can't find someone else. The entire plot of the game does not hinge on her line. To say she results in the worst game ending ever is just stupid.

The guy didn't pay attention. Plain and simple. He spends almost a full minute whining about how you have no idea who this mysterious woman is interigating Varric.
Except that she tells you exactly who she is in the very first scene. "I am Cassandra Pentaghast, Seeker of the Chantry."

Eh, the ending only sucked to me because you don't get to decide the details of it. Other than that it was an okay ending.

It was a poor ending and lazy writing from Bioware. It was too sudden and there was not enough closure.

I was expecting to see an Origin style ending with descriptions as to what happened to all the different factions and people. The Dalish clan, Aveline, Bethany and so on.

DSP is often quite annoying but he is right this time. And if you haven't played the first game it doesnt make any sense what so ever.

A) Side with templars

Varric : The mages knew that the templar rule could be defied . World in flames and Hawke has gone AWOL.

B) Side with mages

Varric : The mages knew that the templar rule could be defied. World in flames and Hawke has gone AWOL

W  T   F ! ? :bandit:

I actually think this is the worst Bioware ending since Kotor 2 and that game was just broken...utterly.....utterly broken.

I guess we'll be getting a lot of DLC to mop that mess up.   EA must be creaming their pants.

I'm a bit confused about how they're going to do post game DLC after making such a big point about both the Warden and Hawke disappearing--unless they're going to reveal why that is and where they are.

They better give us DLC's that match Lair of the Shadow Broker to put this mess straight.

But if it's Merrill hunt in the Wounded Coast instead, I might actually be done with Dragon Age lol.

The ending was really good, it was awesome even.. To compare to ME2, Shepard defeats the human reaper, then we get what to expect from ME3, in DA2 Hawke defeats Meredith/Orsino, and then we get what to expect to from DA3. You also don't need to know who the redhead is, even if you didn't play DA:O, you will find out who she is in DA3 one way or the other(its part of the mystery, if you didn't play Origins).

Either way that guy needs to chill.

You actually think that's acceptable?

That a player like Darksydephil invests 70 hours into this, doing all the side quests available, and gets a short confusing ending without any closure. And that it would have been the same ending regardless if you had completed the game in less than 20 hours skipping all the possible quests?

I find it almost unforgivable after games like Fallout 3, New Vegas and Origins.
