Waiting til ME3 is way too long.  They can't finish up ME2 with a 2 min angry cameo and a letter. I bet the undercover is Ash/Kaidan. It has to be.

I'm still fangirling over Hackett over here. My excitement over this DLC is 10 times more than it was before I knew he was in it, and it was high then. Love you Hackett!

Well, that covert operative could be the VS... after all they were on covert action on Horizont aswell, looking for evidences to convince the Council that the Reaper threat is true... so would it be hard to imagine that Kaidan or Ashley are the covert op on a mission which is about revealing the Reaper threat?

And after all... why would be a scientist Dr a covert operative? She's just a hostage... probably the covert operative sent to rescue her, but failed.

I suspect that they tried within the bounds of ME2's graphical limitations.  Those are some pretty distinctive face lines.

The eye color still could have been better, but they also could have made him completely different.

Eh, Appearance packs (and weapon packs) are...appearance packs. Not saying they're bad, but at this point I think we don't need any more of them.
