then 2 weeks after..this download will lead mass effect 3 game release.... great guys this is the dlc that will lead to mass effect 3 coming out i just read it on the network i had feeling that this would be the dlc that would lead to me3 but i didint realize that me would come out in 2 more weeks AFTER THIS dlc.

OR did i read that wrong?

no wonder why the da2  seemsed like it was  kinda rushed but i loved the da 2 game so wonder how long til theys ay they will push back me3

yeah i know but this dlc will lead us to me3 as says on the cerbus that on jan 24 that network will go down with shadowbroker being the dlc  then 2 more weeks after that dlc will be released and few more weeks after that will me 3 being  released

You read it wrong.    It's a week of news before Arrival's release.
Then in Holdiay season 2011. 2 weeks before ME3's release we will have CDN's as well.

WHy do you all assume that ultimate sacrifice means death of a character or squad mate. it could very well be that alliance arrests Shepard for working with cerberus.

Generally I assume when someone makes an "ultimate sacrifice" it means they're sacrificing their life. But it could also mean someone sacrificing their freedom I suppose

I'm inclined to believe it implies a death because I've never read any literature to suggest "ultimate sacrifice" means anything less than the death of SOMEONE, not necessarily the one making the sacrifice. That said, I'm doing all I can to not speculate what any of these hints might mean because I personally I would rather discover this along with my game character.

I hope not, he's my favourite character in the game. ME2 was less for not having him in it.

But using the standard method of storytelling, which Mass Effect appears to be adhering to, he will die. The second act has to have some tradgedy and if Arrival is the last scene of Act 2 (ME2) then someone big will die. At first I thought it may have been Liara, but with the big reveal being Hackett I'd have to say its about 50/50 now.

Hackett: We're too late, Commander. The Reapers... they've arrived.

Shepard: Then we fight them here.

Hackett: No, Shepard. The Fifth Fleet will fight them here. You need to get out of here. Rally the rest of the galaxy. Live to fight another day, Commander.

Shepard: No, Sir! I will not leave!

Hackett: Someone needs to warn the rest of the galaxy, to tell them of what happened here. Give everybody else a fighting chance. Take your ship and get out of here. With your stealth systems you'll be able to slip by while we hold them off.

Shepard: I am not go-

Hackett: Commander Shepard, THAT IS A DIRECT ORDER! ...Tell the folks back home we died fighting. Fifth Fleet out.



Sad, yet epically fitting, methinks.

I  would genuinely cry if this happened.  Truly, I would have to pause the game, grab a tissue and dry my eyes.  BW  writers tend to be good at generating emotions.  Sheer joy when Shepard emerges from the rubble in ME.  Absolute hatred for Guddamn Batarian terrorists.  Sympathy when Tali finds her father.  True love when Shep embraces Liara following the defeat of the SB.  The list goes on.

Seriously? Really? I hope you are joking and if so, I apologize for not imediately recognizing so.

If not,so wait, if EA really did taint BioWare, why would they be charging us less ($7 as opposed to $10) for a short DLC? If it were EA's corrupt influence, as you assume, wouldn't they charge us the max price they can for the shortest, most rushed DLC? I don't get your logic at all.

Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll be Ash/Kaiden who dies.

Curious as to how you will do the mission if Shep is the only survivor from the suicide mission.

Some people may not be able to get some of these DLCs, so Bioware maybe might not put anything significant in it and save the big reveals and critical stuff for the third game. It would be kinda pointless to kill off someone big to show just how serious the situation is, anyone who has played the standalone ME1 and 2 knows what the score is.

Still cant shake that feeling tho.

Still I can only play DAII 6-8 times between then and now. What am I going to do with all that spare time I should be using for sleep? I'm not sure I'm going to make it....
