What's up with all the Hackett love? I had no problem with him, but he was just quest giver that NEVER did anything other than "oh by the way, here's a quest." There was no development, no interaction. Nothing.

Like I said, I've got no problem with him, but I don't understand where this adoration comes from.

He's voiced by Lance Henrikson, Aliens, Terminator, Near Dark, Millennium.

I think Kal'Reegar suffers from the same symptom. Their voice actors are popular or have done something in the past that was great. That's pretty much the reason I think why some people like them so much.

Me? I like Hackett because of what he did for Shepard. Like returning the dog tags, paying his respects to Shepard's memorial site based on his background, saw to it that Shep didn't have to spend about half a year in a detention cell, etc etc.

Another Zulu?

Technically, the other is the "another".

For loose ends and such, I was meaning;

Will the Scanning The Keepers quest have a large impact? The Reapers learning of the tech and using it to reset the Keepers to open the Citadel. If you didnt do it , did Chorban managed to do it anyway?

The Batarian Balak, do we get to meet up with him again if we decided to save the hostages, likely a side quest since it was DLC and you could choose to kill him.

Despite being dead for two years, will the Consort honour the original appointment?
I think Sparroww was referring to "Zulu_DFA" who often believes among many other things, that you should give Cerberus more far more credit by just pulse-radiating the collector base instead of destroying it.  This is of course, just to put it mildly as the idea behind many Cerberus apologists is that paragons and their choices are nothing but an exercise in absolute idiocy.

Whatever, I guess its all fun and games.  :D

Cheers;
Hey, if it was Hackett or Anderson that asked me to save that base I would have in a heartbeat.

But it was TIM who wanted it, and he can push off. Even if Cerberus is still a part of the Alliance, I trust Hackett/Anderson more.

I mean honestly, any human being who doesn't trust Lance Hendrikson's voice is...well, not human ^_^
Somthing on the subject of the Illusive Man and the collector base, I have found evidence that he will return in ME3 and have an important part.

DC comics Mass Effect Evolution Site Link Here

From DC Site discription of Mass Effect Evolution 4:
...Concludes the secret origin of the Illusive Man, a pivotal figure in the upcoming Mass Effect 3 video game.
Nothing much but hey at least it confirmed that he will be back.

This. Plus, as already stated, he's voiced by Lance.

Pretty much this. He is like a Guardian Angel; one of the few people that remain Shepard's friend.

That too. ^_^

I really hope he'll get the role he deserves in the DLC.

Yeah that's what killed Sovereign. Hearing Lance say "hit em' with everything we've got" is the real reason Sovereign exploded. All those attacks by the galactic fleet were just bug bites.

Maybe. I think it would depend partly on what your background is. If you're the Hero of The Blitz (War Hero background) then I'd have to imagine the answer would be a definite yes.

Not necessarily. Hackett's Fifth Fleet is based at Arcturus and guards the only way to the Sol system. Elysium, however, is in the Skyllian Verge, so Shepard was probably under the command of another admiral at the time. If the Star of Terra is the highest military award, then it was probably presented by a politician rather than an admiral, so Shepard and Hackett meeting, while surely possible, is not certain even if Shepard is a War Hero.

True, but I think Shepard would probably meet a bunch of Alliance admirals from all over at high society parties s/he attended after being awarded.

"Why am I dressed in this getup?"

Arrival does not need to be done after the suicide mission.
I repeat:
Arrival does not need to be done after the suicide mission.

It's a LotSB deal. It can be and stuff changes if it is.

Proof: The Research.
Why would they introduce new research for a single mission that needs to be done after the game?
There would be no benefit and it doesn't make any sense.

One can complete sidemissions after the suicide mission, though.

There are a few possible explanations?

- Research carryover (into NG+ or ME3)
- Side missions can be completed after Arrival
- You could get the research at the beginning of Arrival and use it during Arrival
