Hello I am just recently got into the Mass Effect series ( PS3 User ) and love it! I have a quick question, why is Bioware releasing the final DLC for Mass Effect 2, 8 months before Mass Effect 3 is out? I am sorry if this question has already been asked. Thanks!

It's to bridge the gap I'm assuming. Like how the Reapers invaded Earth, mostly..

i am surely looking forward to this installment, but somehow i am not able to get bioware points. every time i want to pay for it, useing my paypal account which always worked, i always get this message:
An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later.

i have this problem now for the last 3 days. any one else having this problem.

i love the council, they do exactly what a council has to do: talk, talk, talk and never decide for the right thing.
So i am, and i will always be "pro council"....
What i hope is to see Cerberus reduced in dust. And also find out the real nature of Asari.. i don't know why, but i do not trust Asari... i am sure, they are the real danger, the real contact of the reapres in the universe.... (Asari was the first discovering the cittadell... who knows it really?? maybe they was there since the beginning and told this story to the other races).
Why do every race tell that Asari looks like their own race? Turian says they look like tutian, Salarian says the same, Krogan too ... Asari has something they hide to us all.

So i hope, the arrival reveals us the dark side of Asari and they cooperation with Cerberus and the Reaper (because i also think Cerberus is cooperating with the reapers in some way. Maybe a hidden agreement of no harm or else).

I doubt cerberus is cooperating with them as they are looking out for humans. I don't think any agreement would allow for so many humans to be abducted like they were

I have this sneaking suspicion that it'll turn out all the post-ME1 stuff with the Council was an act, and the turian councilor in ME3 will instead insult Shep for not figuring that out and then make some snarky comment about human Spectres possibly being a mistake after all.  Which, honestly, I would find much funnier than him still doing the ostrich routine right up until the Reapers show up in force.

This is what makes me think it's not going to that big.

If you're going by amount of points it does seem like it will be shorter than Shadow Broker. But on the flipside it's giving considerably more points than other DLC achievements, so it should be quite a bit longer than Overlord.

Achievements don't tell you how long a Game will be.
I think they will use only 3 achievements to get 100.I'm sure this will be the biggest DLC
for Mass Effect 2.

Arrggh.  I shouldn't have looked.  That pretty much spoiled the US, but I think most people know already.  Oh well.

DLC: Lair of the Shadow BrokerCost: 800 MSP Achievements:
5 Points: 200 

 

DLC: ArrivalCost: 560 MSP Achievements: 3 Points:
100

Between the cost difference and Achevements I think this will be a decent DLC but not the biggest or it would cost more $$. I think there will be more DLC than this before ME3 just because of the time left until ME3.

Paranoia at it's best! ; )

Although it would be a bit freakish if it were actually the asari.... but I doubt it. If anything, the batarians may have some subtle indoctrination going on, considering their top secret "living ship" discovery.
