NOT A BRIDGE? wtf i mean cmon bioware! ok it sounds cool but still abit of a let down...
Genuine query: When people say they expected a "bridge", I assume they want BW to release a DLC which puts ME2 in some 4th time period that is well after the suicide mission and well before ME3. How would this have been beneficial to any of the previous DLCs or even this one in light of what we know about its plot?
BW/EA suggested that there would something 'expansive' that would 'bridge' the storyline between 2 and 3.
Of course people are going to expect it, if that's what they're told.
The game has a ton of loose ends that could've been expanded upon as a bridge. The Geth, The Quarians, The Greybox from the Kasumi DLC which hints that the Alliance may already have known about the Reapers, The Krogans, the subplot about what's her face in Omega, and the whole 'dark energy' mumbo jumbo that's vaguely refered to numerous time in the ME2.
I'm probably missing some but any one of those could be expanded in to an expansion pack by themselves.
This isn't Oscar caliber movie we're talking about but a Space Opera. It wouldn't be difficult at all to expand yet not give everything away.
For the most part the DLCs were self contained stories that had little to do with Reapers.
BW has proven to be pretty good at coming up elaborate branching storyline ideas, but they suck at following up.
on them. In game emails are half assed ways to achieve 'continuity'.
