On facebook I got an update from the Mass Effect fan group:
Mass Effect Arrival Launch
Location: For all systems
Time: 9:00AM Tuesday, March 29th

I assume this is Mountain Standard Time.

In short, go to bed early, wake up early, than play it.

If that's the case, then that's noon'ish for the East Coast crowd.  Doesnt matter anyway, Im up at 4am every morning anyway so it's just that much longer of a wait Posted Image lol

Major Nelson's podcast included an interview with Mac Walters about Arrival

He said Jay Turner wrote most of it :)

Mac's interview is at the 1:15 - 1:28 mark

The gameplay videos that have gone up suggest some pretty intense fighting, at least in one part of the story.

I'm hoping there will be some innovative approaches to the big battles, like using the environment against your enemies. This would play to Shepard's role as an N7, who as the best of the best, should be able to adapt to any situation.

Does anybody else have hopes for combat scenarios or ideas in Arrival, or ME3 for that matter?

Does anyone actually know when it will reach Europe, or are we just speculating? I wish they would just put it up now....I mean for christ sake its ready.

I'm in Ireland folks, any ideas when it could reach me, any suggestions are greatly apreciated.

No need no steekin' trailers! Best rewards go to those who wait. After the London Trailer, I've decided to stop intentionally downloading everything trailer; be games or movies. I'd rather have a OMG moment during playtime then 6 months before. There's so much foreplay a geek can take.

Ireland isn't exactly the 3rd world, I'm sure you'll be able to get it tomorrow, the same as everyone else in the West.

I can't wait for this. Curse Australia having such a crappy time zone (compared to the States). This is going to be epic.

For 360 players, in America, all DLC is handled by Microsoft themselves, so they release all DLC usually @ EST: 5-6 AM / PST: 2-3 AM

I'm only a 360 player so I dunno about everyone else though :(

Didn't it say that it'll be released across all platforms at that time?

Or is it like the usual?

It would be nice if they at least mentioned vigil I can't remember anyone in mass effect 2 talking abouth the nearly intact prothean base. It proved it could hide itself from the reapers it could detect if someone was indoctrinated and if it could hack into the citadel it can probably hack into a mass relay, because unless that asteroid knocks it into the local sun, it isn't really realistic it could destroy it.

When you go to meet anderson and the council you can tell them to go see vigil, but they say that it no longer works.

Yust replayed the scene with anderson and your right he does say that, it takes him abouth 15 seconds to say the VI had shut itself down and that's the end of it.  While it is obviously it holds the technology on how to build a mass relay complete with working proto type and has the facility to make (and probably read) the porthean data discs and proof that it at least knows how to corrupt the citadels defenses.
I do belief it deserved a bid more attention if they didn't wan't to include it in the game they could at least have said that saren redirected a asteroid that destroyed the facility.

I'm curious about this dlc. It's hyped up that the reapers are coming....but the dlc does not end your playthrough or what not, a dev said you can play it before the suicide mission...so, uh, yeah.

I am guessing were gonna find our when they will arrive.

I'm very curious as to why they planned this whole thing as a Shepard-only experience. Is our squad busy with calibrations or something? :P

Oh well... it has Hackett so it started in neither a good or a bad way. Maybe it's essential to the plot like the Reapers arrive because Shepard was alone and couldn't stop everything himself.

We'll see tomorrow...

When they Arrive.

It is a covert ops mission perhaps they dont need to know atleast from what i understood about the DLC, might be that simple but might also be that the team has a imposter that they dont know about until end of the dlc when they find out who it is, all of this is ofcourse speculations from my part.

Well in the trailer of ME3 they say that if shepard doesn't bring help soon their won't be a earth left to safe So maybe shepard in a plot twist will again be missing in action. And you start ME3 with the VS (because shepard can die in ME2 He can't be the main character for ME3 their simply isn't enough memory on a disc for the voices of 4 main characters).
So shepard dissapears/ or leaves to bring back help
