Though unless my clock is wonky, it's still way too early for Bioware to be releasing Arrival? I'm expecting it some time tomorrow morning, and it's only 10.30 am here.

Ahyup, around 3-ish was the time I remember LOTSB going live, and then not being able to play it because I had work the next day. Madness. So I think the Europeans get a better deal here?

I think they just scrape in with a better deal. I've got it pre-loaded and alarm is set for 3 tomorrow morning, here's hoping regardless of actual PC release - you can still purchase it and activate it when the first one goes live. Otherwise...I'm going to be really tired for no reason.

Pre-load? What foul sorcery is that? I haven't read the back pages for any more info but I thought you only got it when it went live. Oh woe. I'll just wake up at an earlier than usual time to get it.

what strikes me as odd is lotsb  had hype for like a month before it was released. seems like arrival didnt get its fair share.

You can download the executable file from EA servers...

..but until you've purchased it through your account it's just an 880mb desktop paper weight.
(gives you a warning in game that it can't authorise it until purchase)

Theres a link back on page ..49..I think...won't repost it because some people are a bit sensitive about such things...it's there though. Save you the download in the morning. Yes. Its legit. No it's not a virus. etc etc.

I imagine having it completed in the same file will net some additional dialgoue in ME3. Due to the ending and where it will put ME3's starting point..it would seem silly not too.

Since there is no real choice / outcome I can't imagine it would affect much else.  Although I imagine there will be a lot of shock from people who haven't played the DLC in ME3.

Allow me to rephrase that.

If I dont play it, is there any chance of avoiding charges? They cant make all DLC 'canon' as not everyone has access to it. Just as PS3 players dont have access to quite a bit due to lacking ME1.

Its plausable enough to warrent a test. I'll make two import files, one with and one without Arrival completed and see if there is a difference. Just have to wait...nine months to find out lol.

I suppose it's a tricky one, because it could make things more difficult for people who didn't buy the DLC...which could cause the usual flame up.
Don't know..but yeah. Knowing the ending...I'd like to avoid putting myself in that position if I could. Yeah. I'll make two as well..but I think the DLC will be classed as Canon.

Wouldn't count on anything hitting the Marketplace until tomorrow morning. Or rather, ten to twelve hours or so from now.

Of course the DLC should be considered canon. Just because you choose not to play it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
