It's not a bad deal, is just Bioware's timezone, because they control the PC release themsleves 

So consoles should have it released next day.

Can't blame consoles, Bioware have no control over them, they asked for them to be synced but Microsoft have released it the normal time it updates XBL

By the looks of it PC players got screwed because Microsoft will do anything to give their xbox an advantage.  If you check the forum Chris Priestly stated that they specifically asked both Microsoft and Sony to release the content at the same time as the PC version.  So far it seems Sony are honouring the agreement but Microsoft as perusual are treating developers like crap and doing anything that will give their console a "slight" edge.

Not that I am surprised it is typical Microsoft to totally ignore what is best for the gaming community and just go with what is best for itself.

Yeah PS3 get a bad deal, doesn't update till late afternoon/evening anything between 3pm and 9pm

Hm, I see the pattern already. ME3 on XBOX and PS3 will begin with the Reapers invading Earth.
ME3 on PC will begin with Shepard playing chess with dr Chakwas, mumbling "Ah, we still have five hours until something happens".
But again, I do support the "arrive when it's ready" method over the LotSB junk file.

I think it's easier for Microsoft to include Arrival in their scheduled update than to make a new update for one single piece of DLC.

There is no agreement, Microsoft just released the days content like they usually do, PS3 doesn't update till late afternoon anywhere possibly will update well after its released on PC.

To me it feels the same, just the PS3 version looks a bit better, not a HUGE difference. I would buy the PS3 version if it had ME1. And I didn't want to throw away my ~80 hour ME1 soldier shep.

Yea, why would MS change their whole marketplace update schedule for a single DLC for a single game? Sony would do the same as MS. Regardless, everyone will have it within a few hours. Everyone has waited this long already, what's a few more hours? I, for example, have just downloaded Arrival on my 360, but will now go to sleep and play it later. Why? Because I can wait to play it.

Okay, so when I want to check for the pc release I access the thing by Mass Effect 2 -> Official DLC or will it not show up there for the first time (I'm sorry, this is my first release day dlc ).

In Chicago downloading on 360  as we speak it's about 780 mb I checked at 5:17 seems good to go.
