So, when Bioware releases the next patch that hopefully will fix alot of bugs, do you have to start a new game or is it possible to continue your current playthrough after patching? I'm asking because I'm still in the first act and don't know whether I should continue playing or wait for a patch to be released, because it's quite boring to have to start over if you're far into the game.
Does patching require new game?

Perhaps someone who played DA:O know how patching worked in that game and parhaps it's the same with DA 2?

well, if i recall correctly origins didnt require a new game for the changes to take effect. I would assume that it is the same with DA2, however i cant guarantee it.
Since we dont know when the patch is due (1 day? 1 week? 1 month?) i'd continue playing the game now.
This is however just my opinion based on my guts, but I give you permission to flame me if you have to start a new game after patch.

You shouldn't have to start new game. During mine "gamer life" I didn't experience such thing with any game. But noone will tell you for 100%. Personally that situation didn't even came into my mind.
