None did a darn thing to change how the key events played out there was no peaceful way of ending any event really. This to me got me the most annoyed in DA:O you could stop fight from happening...it was hard sure but it could be done... closest this game came to one was the dual in the end of act two that or loss a party member.

Let's call Hawke's mother's death a "fixed point in time"
Seriously, though, I like the idea of experiencing the how rather than the what. Two endings, and we get to see what different paths we can take that leads there.

The problem is that it's a role-playing game we are talking about and not a movie.Taura-Tierno wrote...
In how many movies and tv-series hasn't the theme "you can't change event X" been used?

Hawke is special. Bethany gets taken to the circle, hawke can use bloodmagic wherever he wants. We know that basically from DA:O just that there was the excuse of the protagonist being a Grey Warden. So Bioware said to hell we excuses, we don't need to answer to anyone.
I think it'd odd, considering that DA:O originally had a scene where Wynne called out the Warden for using blood magic. You'd think that Hawke using magic in the Gallows in Year One or saving Knight-Captain Cullen's life as an apostate would draw some attention from the templars. You'd think, given how much crap Merrill gets for using blood magic, that someone would mention Hawke being a blood mage at least once.
@ OP, I think it's unfortunate that Leandra can't be saved.

The part that pissed me off the most was that we could not be more brutal to her murderer. After the horrible things he did to her, I would have done a lot more. My Hawke two shotted him as soon as the barrier dropped, but I was hoping for some better vengance. <_<
I usually play the good-guy 'bring-'em-in-alive' character... But in this instance, I'm with you. Had I been given the choice, MyHawke would have kept the mage alive and screaming for at least a week.

The thing for me... when I watched hawke's mother shuffle over and die in his arms I was moved... really was, but I thought to myself."Well this is my 1st play-thought let my choices stand, I'll get a crack at saving her next time." 2nd time she died.. "I thought wow what did I do wrong," 3rd time.. I looked it up and found out you can't.... then I had a look at all my past choices...

This was pretty much my feeling as well but it only took a second playthrough to figure out that it probably wasnt possible. This kind of thing is why this game is a decent game rather than an excellent game. It make the game feel quite a bit less epic than DA:O. Hell, there were really only 2 "holy bleep" moments for me the whole game. Hawkes mothers death, and Anders blowing up the chantry. Other than that, there were, oh ok, moments but no real epic feeling moments.
And we wont even get into the traversing the same exact landscapes the whole game.

Not possible. All That Remains is a main quest, so the game won't proceed until you do it.TomNickles wrote...
I think the only way to save her is to just not do the quest at all, but since I am on my third play through and have never done that, I can not confirm it lol.
