Here how you solve this. ....Rivalmance Merrill. And get over yourself with Isabela. Oh and Merrill is Hilarious.Madi wrote...
An incredibly loose pirate with implied STDs and an irritating "cute" elf who looks and acts like she's 10 years old. Straight guys really got screwed over this time IMO. Nice work Bioware. Better luck next time. <_<

Besides Hawke is immune to STDs.

Merrill and Isabella are fun. The men you can romance in the game are... well, not, whatever else their virtues are.

Seems I'd be having to "get over" herpes if I went down that very wide road. No thanks. Yeah my little niece is hilarious too. Awesome!

Won't do Baldur's Gate 2 as I haven't done much of the romances there, ignoring KOTOR and Jade Empire too because I'd have recent memory than focus on insults from ages ago that I might have wrong.
Taking most complaints about characters and putting them all in one and removing all positive traits usually leave us with something like this.
Ashley is nothing but a xenophobe soldier!
Kaidan is boring and has Carth's voice actor!
Liara is nothing but a horny virgin with mommy issues!
Tali is nothing but a shy clingy girl with daddy issues!
Jack is a crazy [lady] that wants to kill everybody!
Miranda is nothing but fan service!
Jacob's nothing but a boring freak that works out all the time!
Thane is dying!
Garrus is a fugly turian!
Leliana is a crazy religious zealot!
Morrigan is a crazy evil witch [offensive term] that has no clothing!
Zevran is a [offensive term for homosexuals and/or promiscuous people]!
Alistair is some whiny virgin that doesn't know how to please a woman!
I think that's everybody.

You'd be too late. BioWare already did that with how they wrote Isabela. She's nothing but the one dimensional tramp everyone feared she'd be. I can't even stomach having her in my party as every single word out of her mouth is laced with sexual innuendo.Dave of Canada wrote...

And I would disagree, personally. She does use innuendo all the time, but I honestly found it hilarious and occasionally endearing (especially when she would use innuendo on the amusingly naive Merril). She's one-dimensional in some areas, but her romance is actually quite touching.Marionetten wrote...

You know, I thought Zevran was okay. Yes, he was big on the sexual innuendo but he didn't limit himself to it. Isabela... well, what else is there? She's so incredibly over the top about it that it just gets annoying. We get it. You like sex. Wonderful. Now can we please move on without you commenting on yet another rudder?JeanLuc761 wrote...

I'd find her banter more endearing if it didn't boil down to the exact same thing every single time. With Isabela there is no variety.

And I agree with JeanLuc761. Isabela's romance is really touching. Her issues with loves, her coming back for Hawke during the Qunari invasion and the subsequent duel, etc.

Yes she's out to have as much fun as she can but if you can actually analyze the things she says even post one night stand with Hawke (with the investigate options taken), a lot of the bravado is there almost as a defense mechanism. Her and Fenris are rather opposite. Fenris broods and is guarded to protect himself, and Isabela outwardly projects her escapades.

I assume you haven't heard Isabela discussing freedom with Anders. No sexual innuendo there.

Also, Varric mentions that Isabella (if you get her high enough in friendship) never leaves Hawke at the end of the game.
But lets not get in the way of folks spewing their opinions, shall we

The exception doesn't make the rule. So, she doesn't incessantly hit on the one guy who is more or less openly gay. Yes, yes, they're all bisexual due to Hawke's amazing charisma. This doesn't change the fact she acts like a dog in heat around everyone else.HawXV2 wrote...

As far as I'm concerned Isabela takes female characters all the way back to the Lara Croft age. Her supposed heart of gold just makes her even more of an ill-conceived trope.
