Personally, I like to think that everybody can change. We have all done stupid stuff in the past that we regret or may regret later, I wouldn't like it if somebody judged me based on something I did a couple of years ago.

Besides one of the party banters suggests that she hasn't slept with as many people as the rumours say.

So when is the next twilight movie coming out? Oh and I would agree about Aveline but I would feel weird about hooking up with her after i killed her husband.....purely to put him out of his misery of course. :innocent:

Yeah...I was frustrated about the romance characters in the game.  I felt like they made them for little kids rather than adults.  I wish Aveline had been romanceable...because as an adult she is the character that was most appealing to me.

Absolutely. I play my character for keeps. No way I would have him with Isabella (she screws people as you play the game...) and a blood mage? You can't be serious.

I was pining at the idea of romancing Aveline. It's such a pity, but as it stands, I prefer Merril over Isabella's overt sexuality.  I just can't get it out of my head, "who else have you been with... Fenris? Anders.... the dwarf? Don't tell me it's the dwarf...  I knew it...".

Isabela changes and develops beyond her **** theme when you romance her.


I only feel sorry for the straight girl options - anders and fenris. Both incredibly dark and unhappy characters. I was trying to romance fenris with my female mage, but his rage was incredibly unappealing.

It's a pity you can't romance Varric...

I was hoping for Aveline since well before the game came out, and now that i have almost finished the game i can say i was right in my assumption a long with Verric she is the best more well rounded, strongest written most genuinely grown friendship companion in the game.

Not only is Aveling completley capable of kicking magor ass, she is also very beautiful, with a WONDERFUL voice and a great dry sense of humour, she is amazing...*sigh*

Believe me, I definitely wanted to. She's the only female party member in the game who isn't complete and utter fanservice. She's a person I could come to respect in reality. Isabela and Merrill? Hah, no.

I agree with OP. My Hawke stayed single the entire time. I can't stand either of them. I actually liked Aveline, but go figure....she isn't romanceable.

But she is not what 13 year olds consider appealing in a female, just see all the comments attacking her looks or (to a much lesser extent) her personality. There's some of that even on this thread.

Exactly, they will understand when they grow up, hopefully, she is easily the most well developed character friendship in the game along with Verric.

I didnt want to just sleep with her, i loved her so much as a character and got so attached i felt like i was Hawke getting his heart broken when i told her i just want her to be happy, it was a hard thing to do, but i get what your saying.

This was my favourite part of the game. I really like Fenris, but him ****ing and whining and having a companion quest with even more ****ing and whining didn't really allow me to connect with him. Aveline on the other hand, felt like a real person, was very likeable and dependable and had one HILARIOUS romance quest.

Yeah, Aveline is... interesting. I assume there'll be some 'change aveline's looks' mods that will completely transform her looks into the fussy princess she most definitely ISN'T, and they'll be satisfied.
