Every time when I use maker's sigh, save the game and reload, I get a number of skills. without me chosing them and without any of the free skill points being used up.
Then the next time I use Maker's sigh I get my skil point back plus the points for the free skills.
after a save and reload I get some free skills again.
thus I have now 23 skill points at lvl 13. WTF?
I play on nightmare and don't want this lame advantage - how can I remedy that?
No change with the patch. The free skills are always skills I chose at some point earlier in the game, probably skills I had right before using maker's sigh. oh and I have the tactics slots deactivated.
Bioware plz fix this, this can not rly be hard to fix. And also I beg you keep on making patches. There are so many things that need patching. The skills in general need to be looked at.

I have the same problem. I think the Maker's Sigh has been fix now, but I still have those damn extra points I don't want
Anybody has a solution?

I believe you can edit the number of attribute/talent/spec points with the save game editor, which people use to fix the Isabela slow speed problem too.

We probably won't see a lot of balance-related patches; we're already at the point of desperately needing DLC, and balance tweaks are easy to make per personal preference.
In terms of dealing with the excess ability points, a simple short-term fix would be to dump the excess points into any given talents, and then manually remove those talents using the console.
I don't use Maker's Sigh because of this bug. If I want to respec talents, I manually reallocate them with the console. It takes a bit longer, but it's worth it: there's no mess to clean up afterwards.
