Actually, that belongs to Skyrim, Battlefield 3, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

EDIT: In my opinion.

Of course. ME3 will be goty candidate AT THE LEAST. I'm just thinking that ME3 has tough competitors for that spot.

Modern Warfare 3 isn't even coming out this year I thought.  Wasn't that a debunked rumor.

As for Battlefield 3 I don't see it winning GOTY.  Skyrim is ME3's only competitor.

Well, I seriously thought you were joking, but if you're not... It's because COD is a series that has gotten less praise and more complaints from COD4 onward. All signs indicate that MW3 will not be as a favorable as the last 2, which already had a lot of negative feedback. Even Battlefield, they have a lot to prove. They're nowhere near "the greatest" title. Whereas, Mass Effect may not have sold as much as Call of Duty, it's gotten excellent reviews from critics and regular old gamers. I think as of right now, Mass Effect will be remembered as a better franchise.

Every COD game is the same as its predecessor. You never actually get a sense of change or progress; it's the same one game that gets expanded on hoping to appeal to an even larger audience. I lost complete interest in the series as of Modern Warfare 2.

Actually, Single Player is different.  That's why I play.  Multiplayer?  Yeah. Always the same.

It does, I think. But then again,  Skyrim isn't released yet. Though ME3 is the game I'm most anticipating.

True.  Black Ops is in 1 of every 8 households.  I like COD. I own Cod 2, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, and Black Ops.  As for Battlefield I have only owned Battlefield 2.

Or it will be the biggest dissapointment in gaming history. Or it will just be okay. OH! The uncertainty.

I seriously doubt that, so far Skyrim looks brilliant. We have not yet seen any of ME3 yet so I have no idea what it will like, though it probably won't be much different to previous Mass Effect games (which is fine by me since I loved ME 1 and 2). But from the details revealed so far, Skyrim seems like a very ambitious game and a big leap forward from Oblivion. Goty 2011 will be a battle between Skyrim, ME3, and Dragon Age 2 (!).

Maybe, maybe not. But in Bioware's ME team I trust.
