Nope. Looks like some juvenile comic book character though, not interested. Though Mac Walters probably is.
Ok, you're playing ignorant, that's fine.
I still don't want ME3 to have mutliplayer because that in no way distinguishes it from all the other multiplayer clones out there. It's not 'going all out', it's selling out.
I simply don't need every game to be the same. I'm glad Rocksteady thinks that way too. And Arkham Asylum, their first iteration of the Batman games, did fairly well last I checked.

From the sounds of it ME3 won't be very different from ME2 in terms of gameplay. I know that doesn't bother most people, but I'm not exactly a fan of all the changes that occured in ME2. To me for everything that they improved on (graphics, dialogue, characters) they also at the same time took some steps backwards (removal of inventroy/customization, addition of "ammo", removal of vehicles/exploration). I'm sure the story will be solid, but it's probably not going to be anything like folks expect it to be. So there's probably going to be some people disappointed that way.
From what I can tell the Mass Effect series has very closely followed the Baldur's Gate saga.
Mass Effect like Baldur's Gate is a game with a very central "bad guy". Your character is flung into a new world(s) and both games are heavily depedent on exploration and give you a great degree of freedom. Frankly I do like the original Baldur's Gate the best because of this, so it's no surprise I tend to feel the same about Mass Effect.
Baldur's Gate II (Shadows of Amn) like Mass Effect 2 is arguably the better and best game in most people's opinions. Both games have improved combat and more focused quests/missions at the expense of exploration. They also both feature very shadowy and illusive villians, that aren't exactly true "bad guys" in the sense. Bothe games also featured improved graphics, etc. as well. However I didn't exactly like the simplification of player character models or the new art style in SoA that much. Which is very similar to how I feel about Mass Effect 2's simplifications and streamlining of gameplay. As a result most people hold me in contempt, but that' just how I feel. I still like both BGII and ME2 a great deal, but not as much as their predecessors.
Baldur's Gate II (Throne of Bhaal), while essentially really an expansion was pretty much Baldur's Gate III since it was about 20-30 hours long. Mass Effect 3 seems like it'll be very similar in this regard given that it too will mainly be using the same engine again, however hopefully ME3 will be a 40 hour game still. Although Throne of Bhaal made improvements and is the best looking game, so I suspect this will be the case for ME3 as well. I actually enjoyed Throne of Bhaal a lot and is simply put one of the most epic games I have ever played. Throne of Bhaal goes right up there with God of War and Shadows of the Colossus in terms of "epic" since in ToB you're essentially a Demigod. I expect ME3 will also be very epic if because of nothing else the Reapers are invading.
That said a number of people found ToB underwhelming in terms of story, although I thought it was very satisfying. I imagine this will be people's issue with ME3 since it's going to be a bit contrived for the game to have a proper ending where the Reapers don't win. Really I'm not concerned about the story too much, as long as it doesn't have quite so many plot holes/inconsistencies as ME2 does.
I'll probably like ME3 better then ME2, much in the way that I liked Throne of Bhaal better then Shadows of Amn. Although my true favorite will always be the first game, since like Baldur's Gate it just feels like the most original and true-to-heart version. Still I expect ME3 will be very epic and satisfying as a conclusion and that's really all I want.
However as for truly groundbreaking or amazing games go I'd bet my money on Skyrim and Battlefield 3 this year. If Skyrim improves upon Oblivion's concepts it could easily be one of the greatest RPGs of all time as Oblivion itself is a very good (if repetitive) game. Battlefield 2 in my opinion has been the height of FPS genre for some time now. CoD 4: Modern Warfare essentially copied BF2 and made it console friendly, but in comparison is a rather poor game. If Battlefield 3 follows in the footsteps of Battelfield 2 it will be the next big FPS, even if there a lot of people stupid enough to keep playing CoD series. I never had as much fun in a shooter as I have in 32 vs. 32 battles of BF2.

If BioWare get it right, ME3 could well be one of the best videogames ever made.

I agree, BW has a lot of work to prove itself. Personally, even if ME2 improved a lot of things in terms of gameplay, it lacked something from the first opus. To me ME1 > ME2, story wise at least.
On a side note, I feel like a complete and utter geek after nerdgasming in front of that list.

ME2 was a huge success which usually gives EA the message to ruin the franchise by expoliting it.

Actually, that belongs to Skyrim, Battlefield 3, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
EDIT: In my opinion.
I'm still wondering what this multiplayer rumor's about. I don't know what you could do in ME 3 via multiplayer that would be enjoyable aside from co-op.
Skyrim's gonna kick tail, with ME 3 coming close behind.

I've been looking for the Church of Bioware. I think I found it here. Can someone point me to where the fanboy alter of worship is at?

And while I'm on the subject, it says a lot about the falling quality of the Mass Effect series that there's been a lengthier interval between GoW2-GoW3 than we're seeing between ME2 and ME3. Never a good sign.

Gears was supposed to be out like now....but obviously it was delayed....it happened with Mass 1....so the time period, eh, roughly the same if you look at it like that. Not worried about Mass 3 though. Only reason it took so long to make 2 was because of the crazy revamping of combat/graphics/.....welll....everything pretty much. All they really have to do now is add a few things...like more exploration/items/epic conversations...and we have Mass Effect 3.
